  • i keep looking for these to be sitting in my living room with a big red bow every morning, i will have these before i die

  • im just wondering coming from anyone who has this set is it worth the money? woulkd it be a decent jazz set? im inlove with it and think it sounds great, would i be able to tune it to a jazz sound? thanks.

  • @TheJazzLicks We have had 0 complaints about this kit, especially at the amazing price we're selling them for. Maple kits are inherently flexible, I don't think you'd have a problem finding a great jazz sound in this kit.

  • @TheJazzLicks I've got this drumkit myself, and I often play on it with a rockabilly band, and also with jazz bands, and in my opinion it's definitely worth it.

  • I totally agree, the Renown series are amazing.

  • I also love the sound of the Renown series.

I play a Renown kit frequently as a friend brings his to a musicians night that I frequent.

I always look forward to playing his Renown drums.

They have a warm tone and a sustain that is all their own.

They put me in a relaxed good mood when I play them.

    They tune like magic.

  • I wish that the Renown kit came with a virgin bass drum that is in the classic size of 14x22. I also wish that there was a 14x14 floor tom available.

  • @bobdadruma I said the same thing, But being that its not virgin it still sounds amazing

  • @bobdadruma We could have a virgin 14x22 special edition made for you, but we would have to order at least 40 of those kits to get gretsch to do it. What finish would you want?

  • and what are the Specs on kayla?

  • I've never had much luck with the quality of the Gretsch drums. Overall, what do you guys think of them, and are there sound-improving mics?

  • @MasCampanaDrummer We love Gretsch, Steve's personal kit is a USA custom and a lot of the guys here have played Catalina Maple when we had our custom set out. They make great kits and the maple construction across all of the lines is consistently the best for the price. Especially with the deal we have on these Renowns. We're not mixing too much or adding effects, this is almost 100% what's coming off the drums into the condenser mics.

  • @GreenbrierPercussion Thanks for that reply! I used to have a Catalina Maple, but I switched to ddrum last year. I'm kind of missing the Gretsch kick, but other than that, I'm happy with my switch. Also, do you know what cymbals Stephen was using in the video? They sound awesome!!

  • @MasCampanaDrummer Hey man - I have the exact same set and I've posted two vids of how it sounds with Evans EC2 heads right into a Zoom Q3 recorder - they sound AMAZING in person. Check out my vids!

  • @NouveauNick Already did buddy! Real clean playing! You're good and that kit looks sooo awesome haha!

  • @MasCampanaDrummer Now if only I could get Kayla in my vids....haha

  • Does Kayla come with the drum set?

  • @thedrummerdude777 yes, for an extra $1000. I mean, no. I mean . . . just buy the kit ;P

  • @GreenbrierPercussion haha!! Awesome :)

  • FUCK.... thats a nice drum set

  • More Kayla - Less Steven. :-) (Awesome set - I have it and I love it!)
