even though i voted for skyrim for game of the year (which is a fucking kick ass game) but skyward sword would have also made a perfect game of the year
despite that skyrim is a great game, i think it lacks a lot in music meaning there isn't much of a mood to the game, and it seems quite bland at times and a little repetitive. Not mentioning the glitches. I do personally believe the game is overrated, and is praised too much just because of its length and exploration and a lot of that is pretty similar

Alright that's it! It's official. To win GOTY next year Nintendo will have to these things.
1) Perfectly blend picture perfect graphics with stellar gameplay.
2) Add professional voice acting to completely remove all imagination from the game. (Which has been the basis of the company's popularity from the beginning.)
3) Make sure it no longer taylors to consumers aged 6 to 86. Make it more 'hardcore' so it is for ages 16 to 86. That way it'll sell less but, hey... they'll win GOTY...

@zack19192 Lol not necessarily. I'm glad Skyrim won. The game isn't personally my cup of tea but it had apparently HUGE appeal. Its victory doesn't stop me from enjoying my favorites just like if SS had won shouldn't stop you from liking yours. We're all gamers here.

@bobbyw223 To be honest I was completely calm as I typed that last comment and this one. I agree that Ninty could use some new content but 5 would overbloat the company. Some of the older ones would be left in the shade (more so than they are now... F-Zero and Starfox anyone?)
That and Smash Bros. would become a nightmare to unlock everything as eventually you may have to do the single player campaign as ALL those characters.

@bobbyw223 Exactly!!! They truly missed an opportunity on that one. But... with the storyline completely torn to shreds and dumped in a river since Command, I think the reason why one was released was because nobody could come up with a decent storyline.
Who knows maybe StarFox 64 3D was a reboot... I truly hope so.
