  • I wish him luck!

  • SACD is the best format for music. Vinyl, if you have a really expensive stereo system, is up there too.

  • Did this man sell his collection as of early 2012? I used to get a lot of my vinyl from a man named Jim Danas in Queens, NY. Another great collector, he was.

  • vinyl rules

  • lmao.

  • wow! this video has no dislikes.

    LoL NOW IT DOES!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

  • @RamonRapper100 lol add me too

  • @RamonRapper100 What a dick move

  • if i was has million i will pay 20 million or more

  • incredible :O

  • @TheOldMates

tsk, non ha il cd degli Old Mates!

  • What the hell he is talking about by the way? 83%? Is he talking about songs that nobody has or about songs that are not COMMERCIALLY available?

I mean, people have uploaded millions of songs by unknown artists on sites like YouTube that you can't BUY anywhere, but are still available for free. Could someone specify?

  • @TheFinlandnator basically all of the music from the time period he was talking about (1948-1966) only 13% of that music has been re-released

  • Meh. If the quality is good I hear no difference.

  • @TheFinlandnator have you ever listened to real vinyl?

  • @ThaCGNStudio2 Yes.

  • Pretty ironic that he bangs on about the fidelity of vinyl when he's using a Stanton DJ turntable to play them off...

  • no dislikes, That is what i like

  • The sad thin about this, is the disease he has is completely curable.

He has diabetes, im pretty sure its type 2, and its 99% of the time reversible by losing alot of weight and eating a healthy diet.

  • It breaks my heart to see this video

  • The title is a bit misleading. He has a vinyl collection. It would be great if a university bought it and turned it into a music library. That way anyone could access the collection.

  • this video has persuaded me to get my favourite albums on vinyl now :P just need a record player lol

  • Mad Respect man. I agree with the top comment if I was loaded like any of these actors or something these dayz I would try to arrange a deal on it.

  • NOOOOOOOOO! YOU CANT JUST GET RID OF EM! WHAT THE HELL? WHAT BILLIONAIRE WOULDENT BE ALL OVER THIS!?!?

  • That's amazing.

  • What a shame that he obviously has no adult children who'd take over the collection & love it as much as he does. If it was me, just for the love of the music, I would donate the entire collection for cataloguing in a major museum - as long as the collection remained intact.

  • why doesnt he open a online shop? yeah hes blind, but if he knows people ho can help him, than ge gets some fuckt up aload off money. please sir, you have to do this, my father want some shit and i like to buy some shit!

  • Vinyls are to hard to care for if u have a life dude. I love music and while CDs may sound a TAD worse then vinyls it's more convenient and modern

  • its a record collection, not a cd collection. fix the title.

  • WOW THATS A LOT OF CDS! !!!??

  • Anyone who collects music, whether it be CDs, cassettes, vinyl, etc. understands how sad this is. He's offering this for 3 million. That's about 1 or 2 dollars per record when some of these are worth thousands. It's a shame that the people in this world that ARE rich are too superficial to ever buy something as valuable as this.

  • They compress mp3s not cds

  • CDs aren't compressed you fucking idiot. It sounds exactly the same as if it were on vinyl.

  • @Creepoid1234

CD is 44kHz and 16 bit while Vinyl is 96kHz and 24 bit, idiot.

  • @Midisurf87 Suck one.

  • @Creepoid1234

Thanks you for proving my point.

  • I really wanna meet this guy...I would buy every freaking beatles album he's got...I would want to help him as much as I could

  • This guy doesn't know that the human ear hearing range isn't that good.

You can't hear the 'highs' and 'lows', period.

  • @roboticterror Yes you can...it's not that hard if you have an ear for music.

  • @roboticterror

Have you seriously ever sat down and tried to hear the difference? If you can't then something is wrong with your hearing range, not everyone elses

  • thats actually really sad :(

  • i love my CD collection if my collection ever gets to this size and i have to sell it all ill just kill myself XD

  • Its spelled Vinyls and I wish I could make this guy's day by buying this collection for twice as much as its worth. I pray to the good man upstairs that he finds the collector who will cherish these beautiful records and that he gets a ton of money in return for the effort that he put into it!

  • Ever heard of EBay?. Seriously apart from the Beatles Butcher Cover album and a couple of others, cd`s and vynil are worthless.

  • Things like this should be kept forever, like all the other history we have. I would hope Google will step in and take care of this PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I was a billionaire, I'd buy this for like, 5 or 10 million. Then I'd put it somewhere like a museum. I honestly can bet that I wouldn't like most of this music, but you can't let that amount of music go to waste.. Music can and has shaped history, it's too important to throw away, whether you like that genre or not.

  • @headshot992 My thoughts exactly.

  • I hope this treasue, this man life's work won't go to waste, because it's priceless. So much love is in this collection. Such a sad story :((((( I wish I had a million bucks to buy all of this and preserve it, so it lasts for years to come.

  • @headshot992 is that why you'd put it in a museum, where it can't be heard? ...

  • Everyone has its own eccentricities. I am a collector too but only one artist and only cds. One collector has to know when it is too much or it is such a waste of 'life'. One has too include other people too. Not just objects. When its too much, its called greed. Because you can't bring them with you to heaven.

  • @lanimar3417 Oh, wow. Shut up. Quit forcing your views upon people.

  • if i had the money and the space i would buy it all

  • The government should buy it and make a museum/ archive of it. It doesn't seem so important now but in a couple of years it will be a treasure of unimaginable value. Otherwise all that recorded music will just be gone and that's just not acceptable.

  • Ever heard lossless formats?

  • Who the hell are "the Stores"?

  • crap, i want that collection

  • i cant afoord this but surely theres a millioner/billioner who can appreciete this.

  • Well, not every CD has the crap compressed out of it.

I'd love to buy this man's collections, but who on earth has the money?

  • i love how vinyl is coming back, pure awesomeness

  • This guy deserves a medal.

  • Too have that much he probably has some that he hasn't touched in years.

  • this cat's coool to bad he's sick :(

  • That Is So FUCKING IMPRESSIVE!

  • WHERE IS THIS PLACE?!!?!?!?

  • Ohhhh... If I had 3 Million $... ^^

  • spelled: vinyl :P

  • Comment removed

  • RES'ECT I HAVE

  • That's not CDs idiot.

  • i look up to you

  • I've got that rolling stones album.... It was at a gig they were about 20....

  • @rancidsexbeast I don't think Id buy it no, because it will be inevitably downloadable on the internet anyway, sorry but its true even if I ain't really answering your question but then again Im not a big music lover like this guy is. Also just sayin, the title should be "Biggest VYNIL collection".

  • @rancidsexbeast I would cry because I brought all that shit, knowing that deep down, which ever band I brought it from probably is just glad I payed their dinner for that night with one CD, and probably doesnt give a shit about you, that would make me cry, of course thats just my point of view :/

  • This is sad.

  • 3:45 to 4:31

So true ... This guy is awesome.

  • @cartmandesouthpark

Yeah, this man speaks the truth.

  • Wow look at all them there CDS! You frigging slapdick thats VINL!

  • @CLOBBERINTIME1 vinyl...

  • How the hell did he get the money for all those records? lol

  • i want to live there

  • cd's have qualites better than records. there easy to carry around and you can play them in your car. I cant say the same about records. I have a great cd collection I am proud of next I will work on records buying bulks at a time but I wont buy records to actually listen to the thing.

  • @royalnash then you're not a music lover, you're a poser. and you need to fuck yourself in the ear

  • wow his record collection is the best it look like a library in there. sad to see your blind with diabetes. I wish you luck buddy.

  • this is an awesome collection if i had the money and could contact him with no doubt i would buy it

i hope some day i can acomplish something like this

  • these are vinyl records stupid.

  • the are vinyl records you mental case

  • i would buy em if i had money... trust me... but im not a billionaire :/

  • has he sold them or got something? genius world record could pay him for having the world record

  • @IceKoldKilla1992 guinness. not genius. complete different words. guinness is a beer. genius is an extremely intelligent person or someone with an excellent idea

  • @xXMaDEllXx lol ok but this is an old comment. thx ;)

  • If I had the money I would probably be interested in buying the whole collection but where do you find a guy that haves $50 million to burn on records??? Just focus on selling the rare ones for the highest price.

  • This is simply ridiculous, crying over a fucking cd collection...

  • Damn... even if he sold every album and single for $1 each, he'd still be a millionaire

  • Where is this place? I'd love to visit this guy and check out the collection.

  • You know if you were to buy all his music you could sell it again and make more

  • technically he has cds as well but yes it is mislabeled

  • holy shit you can't even tell the difference between a cd and a vinyl for fuck's sake...those are vinyls!!!!

  • Vinyl

  • Wow what a great program. Where is it from? Makes me feel a little guilty that I don't collect records myself. I have planned to, but they aren't very compatible so I would listen to them less.

  • Also, what's that Stones album called? Anyone know?

  • @ronkrisin It's usually just referred to as the Rolling Stones Promotional Album

  • I would buy this in A heartbeat... I DO give a Damn... I Really wish I could say that to Paul's face... This is very very sad...

  • It is sad, but what you want most of us to do? You cant archive everything man kind does! Where would we store everything ever made? I do not know why some super rich guy doesnt buy this store and keep it as a collection. Maybe they can digitaly store most of it for the future. Think of every indie band, should we save all those too? There has to be a point where you let some things go...

  • im a young teen and i like CD's alot better than downloads

  • @RymanTV i agree with you, i'm only twelve (lol) but i've got 227 cd's and i haven't ever brought songs off of i tunes or downloaded them. i hate it. I prefer to listen to the music of the actual cd or record. i know what you mean =)

  • yeah, music nowadays sucks donkeyass.

  • man the old records look cool

  • im surprised the rock and roll hall of fame or smithsonian arent interested in this. sad vid. btw who ever posted this is retarded. theyre not cds. 1 million lps + 1.5 million 45s does not equal about 3 million. your grammar is atrocious.

  • @girshwin1414 So is your's. Those mistakes are not grammar mistakes and you also cannot spell. Btw isn't a word either. Aren't. Not arnt. Look at your grammar before you criticise someone elses.

  • @xXMaDEllXx hah you need to get a fucking life. there are things to do, things to fix, things to see, songs to listen to. if i ever found myself commenting on every youtube comment i disagreed with id check into a mental hospital for being so bored. p.s. suck my cock ya fucking lunatic.

  • a definate great collector who has a great passion for music i'm truly in awe , i do hope someone buys the collection, as a matter of fact the library of congress should step up and buy it.

  • this guy is a inspiration

  • Dude your passion is amazing! I give a damn! ANd if i had the money i would without a doubt buy your collection!

  • did you actually listen to all the songs?

  • I would like to buy the collection. but unfortunately i dont have that kind of money.

  • Why have you stated "biggest CD collection" where as it's vinyls he's showing?

  • I would kill to have that stones record

  • Hell, man... if I had 3 Mil... I'd buy that whole damn collection... No second Fuckin' thoughts... This is a Somewhat sad video...

  • I'd pay thousands for that Unreleased Stones album...

  • I am a very big music fan and believe that this is the greatest thing I've ever seen! Now whoever doesn't care should be ashamed of themselves! I collect music albums and this is absolutuely AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • I would definitely buy it! Shit I got like 20 bucks altogether!

  • Hey man, I give a damn!!

  • If I had the money, I would think about buying it.

    (if only...)

  • Plenty of bands are still being printed on vinyl. Just don't expect any of that bullshit on tv though.

  • Yeah there you go haha

  • if i was legally blind i would just listen to music all day. that guy has or had it going on

  • god he must have nearly all songs of favourite bands...

that would be so awesome ^^

  • 3:50 dam rite it is

  • i wish i was rich... i would really buy it, i'm a music obssessed

  • Me too.

  • well the Stones LP shows why discs are b etter than folders with mp3s and a thumbnail of the album, nice record artwork

  • Exactly, these are vinyl records. Idiot who posted this must be blind.

  • Why the fuck is this video titled "Biggest CD collection in the world"

    These are not Compact Discs

They are LP Vynals. Vinals. However it's spelt.

  • @immortalthrumetal159 you are a coldhearted human!

The man gave his life for the collection. THAT MAN IS HUMBLE!!!

and you saw that its not a cd its a viniyl collection>??? are you okay? its the biggest music collection EVER! i dont agree too but noone i mean noone has a 3 milion cd collection!!! NOONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @immortalthrumetal159 Thumbs down for misspelling vinyl.

  • @immortalthrumetal159 You are on to it...VINYL..spelling isn't important it's what you have to say.

  • @immortalthrumetal159 Yeah. Still, gotta admit it's a fuckin AMAZING collection!

  • I knoe he is sick but we does he have to sell.

  • fuuck . that would be soo sick ,

  • if i had the money i would first build a house to have a room for this collection! then i would buy the collection! i think this collection is more than a fucking lamborghini or mercedes!

  • i am crying right now... bad luck

  • OMG if a had the money :/

  • Hell, I'll buy it all. I would do anything just to see it, much less own something like this. This man gave his life to music, and look what happened he has to live the rest of his life in worry, and despair because no one wants it or is interested in it. If this guy isn't dead, I would like to go to his shop and fill the fucking cart full.

  • god vinyl elitists are annoying, feel bad about his medical situation though. I'll take a CD over vinyl, tape, or anything else. My ears aren't as good as others i guess. O Well

  • Poor man. I really understand him. And everything he said is true.

  • I want that rolling stones album and any Jazz and Funk albums he has.

  • how is he legally blind??????

  • I totally understand his plight, and hope and pray that this becomes a museum of some sort. Wish I had $50 mil to pay him, merely for the trouble he has gone to.

    Wow.

  • i know sell the rolling stones prici single and buy a graveyard for yourselve , when u die buya giand cofin and put urselve and all your ds there lol sorry fr the stupid coment just an idea

  • I'd buy it if I had room

  • Or the money.

  • I'm 18 years old, I know that music format download drom internet can not compare with real CD albums.

  • lol 3 million??

  • man if i had the money i would so buy them

i love the old classics like records and what now and im 14 :D my ears aren't closed

    CLASSICS FOREVER!

  • arent those like vinyls?

  • You'll have a career selling the stuff on Ebay. That's what I would do.

  • I agree with him on most things, except the one about quality. Sure, 128kbps MP3 is very compressed and some songs can sound mushy and the instruments sound somewhat different, not to mention that some of the sounds altogether are lost, but that's what FLAC, ALAC and AAC were made to counter for. A 256kbps AAC file will give you almost the same quality as a CD, but the file is more than 10x smaller. FLAC files are exactly the same quality but manage to compress it to 60% of the original.

  • It should be made a museum! And it should be preserved and taken care of as a cultural memory. And yes, having a physical collection of CDs id much more fun than downloading, to bad it's mostly serious collectors who understands this.

  • vinlys will never die, there will always be djs

  • I'm a collector myself and it saddens me to see the state of things today; music stores are closing, younger people limit their music to sound files on a computer, and there is little appreciation for the physical format anymore. Despite that, I will continue to buy CDs and records and my collection will continue to grow. If only I could pony up the $3 million...I would so take that collection and preserve it in the same manner as he did. :)

  • exactly im 16 and i love the physical format but there is no shops that sell them no more in my town

  • amazing!!

  • holy shit balls that is worth ALOT of money.

  • omg =(

I wish I could win like 10Million right now, that's the first thing I would buy

  • Man, what is going to happen if he doesn't sell, thats amazing, i really wish i could help him. I bet he has EVERYTHING ever known to music, thats the most overwhelming collection ever, where would i start if i wanted to look for something different, i would have half the store if i looked for that. its realy sad

  • im also a collector and i really feel for him

  • We need more views guys!

  • He is telling the Truth "Our ears are closed".

    I wish i was rich....

I would buy it to keep the History Alive.

  • watching this, this bled my heart.
