Japan, Italy, Korea, France, U.S. Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Great Britain.The key factor is getting the right equipment in the right place at the right time. There are vast numbers of rebuilt and modernized Soviet equipment which are adequate to have a major impact when better equipment and troops are not available.

Many T-55's were destroyed by the Merkava and upgraded Pattons over the years so it's not logical that the T-55 will be better just becuase there are shitloads of it around the world.
In a tank fight Merkava is defo better, how ever the Merkava didn't get any top scores, were as t-55 got top marks for production :-) but it does have to be said that large numbers of inferiour tanks against smaller numbers of superior tanks does work, we did it with the Sherman and the Russians with the T-34 against the Germans Panthers & Tigers :-)
I was thinking the same but if you look at modern warfare and a campaign such as desert storm, the Iraqis outnumbered us with armour at a ratio of 3:1 when you take the effect of airpower into it there armour still outnumbered us 2:1. so i guess somtimes its quality over quantity... how this show can pitch WW2 tanks against modern tec is beond me??? :-) if i was the commander of a T34 going up aganist and modern MBT i would brick myself!

just had a look at your site, nice. I don't think tanks of past decades are really comparable? otherwie we would all be cutting around in shermans and T34s, lol. you can't tell me if the T72 can fire with accuracy on the move can you?
depends which T-72. The Iraqi 'Lion of Babylon' which were built from spares of the T-72M couldn't. Their are so many variants and of varying ages that you cant say yes or no. Certainly the older ones had a very bad recoil which could affect the transmission, how ever the active Russian ones can.
Enough with tank wars, it's time to bring out the T-Rex robots.

there is no match a t-90 vs abrams.
