This same thing happened to my lil cousin not as severe damage but the trauma was the same he walks different now and he holds his and crooked and he is really silly now when he used to be a serious person now he says whatever is on his mind and is really goofy (I pray for all those with traumatic brain injuries Thanks for sharing Daniels story with us)

It made me cry. Jimmy, I really felt how your mom loves all of you... not just Daniel... i was touched by her loving spirit when I became one of her EIL student.,she is so sweet and understanding.. I didn't even know that she's your mom not until i saw this., We also felt how kind and caring you are as a friend specially when my husband's father died. I'm a Tennessee-born fan of the Vols who lived in Hawaii for many years. The awful news about Jesse Mahelona has caused me to reminisce about the Hawaii Vols. Because of J.T. and his career at Tennessee, I came to know Daniel's story. I still think of Daniel from time to time and hope that he is doing well. All my best to the whole Mapu family. That video is great. I am so sad to hear what happened to Daniel. I still remember him from the Laie 7th Ward days, when we first moved into the area. Such a strong, promising young athlete, yet with such a down-to-earth & positive attitude. I love you brothers. God bless

Aunty... I remember this day(when the accident happened) I use to drive limo's out to P.C.C. but the spooky thing about it I use to be on it(ICE) at this time. But after 20 years of addiction and only have half my teeth, I'm DRUG FREE... I lost a lot of friends that did not kick the habit. One of them just died last week. He's still bedridden, has meals through a feeding tube, and can only manage to say a couple of words -- but he continues to fight the good fight, and bring life and laughter to all he comes in contact with! We love him!
