That just made me laugh . I just went off for dinner ,came back and the note was still there :D It's incredible how just a single note can make u feel amazing ;)
aahaha Thats fuckin' awesome! I have never seen a guitar with this much sustain!! Thats f'in amazing! Then again Spinal Tap an Jimmy Page an all the big guys said the 60-70's Les Paul's had the best sustain!
for all the guys saying "my guitar has more sustain" and something like that... be aware of the difference between sustain and feedback. the true sustain on a guitar can be heard even when the instrument's not plugged, that's a real proof!
I got the same amount of sustain with my bolt-on double-locking-bridge guitar and my super cheapo Ibanez 15 watt practice amp. All you need is a lot of volume
No dreaming here. I can get the same amount of sustain from my Lester or my ES-359 out of my Egnater/Marshall as I can with my practice rig. Just crank it up and sit near the amp. Raising the action helps a lot too. You don't need set neck this or tune-o-matic that or back-breaking mahogany over maple.
Fake look at the glare in the Guitars finish, You can see its like a repeat of the same thing for a few seconds. Plus look at his watch, Same constant motion.
@gavquinn I know what youre thinking but when I vibrate a high note like that through my Paul while the tubes are turned up loud naturally distorting it will ring like that, its basically heavenly feedback!
Beautiful guitar....and no doubt great sustain....but NO way you can call "wiggling the string" with your finger true sustain....I could do that for hours...big deal!
@Hellozan11 - 'Course not, its amplifier gain sustain.LOL Just teasing. Unplugged would be 'natural' sustain, also a great quality.
Nice Burst. The PAF pickups and old wood make a delicate 'airy' sound that has a nice bite and crunch to it. The faded Aniline red dye around the rim of the sunburst top hints at an early 1960 model, possibly with specs typical of a 1959 serial # guitar. Could have even been built in '59 and ink-stamped later. I bet it has the large frets popular on '59s.
thats just annoying

Stop shaking the string with vibrato. I can make any decent guitar with a good fret job do that with vibrato.

Great guitar, but does your amp go up to 11?

You could go for a bite and still be hearing that one.

aaah, the beauty of unpotted pickups.
Thats a great sounding guitar
ThieleM 4 months ago
This is not sustain, its feedback. Any other humbucker loaded guitar would do that with the same amp.
Juda0326 4 months ago
@Juda0326 It depends on the guitar as a system, and this system seems to be very responsive to speaker and the amp at lower gain settings.
Thanks emeraldcityguitars for sharing the video!

nice instrument!!! however, that is not pure sustain... it's a well controlled feedback that sounds absolutely amazing!

Nobody ever hear about feedback?
The sustain on les pauls is long but not like this.
lampens 8 months ago
I can and have gotten lengthy sustain on my LP just by doing the same thing, vibrato with your finger. its pretty simple to do.

gavquinn 9 months ago
@gavquinn Thats what you get when you blast a good paul through a tube amp tha iss naturally distorting.
weedsmokerweed 8 months ago
@weedsmokerweed That kinda sustain has something behind it.. Something, that's not natural, not all on it's own.

weedsmokerweed 5 months ago
@gavquinn I guess thats true in a way because it is feedback and not the guitar but the LPs sustain does make it easier.
