  • yes it is.

  • Dragon Naturally Speaking software is a perfect example of why piracy exists, they fucking scam you into buying their shitty software. Other than you HAVE to pay lots of money for their "support" you are left with an expensive piece of shit.

Who's the REAL thief? They are,why should I throw my money into a bottomless pit?

PIRACY IS GOOD AND WILL REMAIN GOOD UNTIL COMPANIES STOP PROVIDING SHITTY PRODUCTS.

    Thank You!

  • I'm not saying piracy is good, but TV died because there's nothing on but shit nowadays. 90% of it is all trash. People have moved to streaming and torrents because they can watch what they want, when they want for free (the free part isn't really legal though). Even on the legal side of it, why do you think Netflix is so popular? It's not a complicated equation.

  • I like his voice.

  • well i live in a small country and they expect me to wait 1 year for TVprogram that i can download 2 hour after it aired in US for free?

  • Piracy can't be good?

I use it to try games before i buy them. If the games are bad, i wont buy and the torrent gets thrown right into the trashbin. But if the game is good, i go out and buy the game.

Piracy has made me buy several games. CoD: WaW, Gothis 1,2 and 3, star wars republic commando... And so on.

Why do i use piracy to try games first? A lack of demoes for games. I see fewer and fewer demoes and most demoes are just the 2 best maps for the game.

  • @MrRallemulle me too, i also download music, and if i like the album i buy it!

  • utorrent ftw...

  • The movie and game industry, couldn't be in a better spot with piracy...

Stoping piracy all together would be unthinkale, for 80per cent of the population

with an internet connection would be arrested...

  • By setting an example of a couple of individuals, they can scare a percentage of the population into buying them... Making their products spread throughout the world, either free, or/and at a price and still being able to make a profit, for production costs and as an incentive for future projects...

  • If companies truely cared for their music/movies/video games/etc they wouldn't care about piracy. They would make them for the sake of making them, not money. This is one of the reason we have mostly crappy music nowdays.

This my friends is one of the flaws to capitalism. Not saying (incert other economic system here) is better.

  • bitTorrent and uTorrent is an awesome technology made by awesome people! in Garden of Eden everything was free, God created this earth and everything in it for us for free, but people making money out of you and it! So I say Pirates are the ones that Make millions of dollars out of you and this free God given earth! Money is a Piracy!

  • pirate bay + bittorrent = hapiness

  • @kepplerh Only 1 ? , utorrent is bittrrent right ? If thats true we think in the same way bro .

  • Noted that no-where on this channel is it stated that this is Mark Pesce.

I had to search the title with an engine to find out what/who I'd stumbled upon while on a piracy + good search.

    This is Mark Pesce. :)

This is also fantastic. Thank you.

  • what tv has taught me was sharing is caring = )

  • Well, I go to the movies cos its social and hopefully to see a good movie. I also go to concerts to hear a performer because its so much different than a CD.

I also download music and movies. I support what I think is great and I dont want to buy stuff blindfolded.

  • Piracy isn't itself bad. Pirates buy things that are worth buying most of the time and they are the ones that tell everyone about it besides companies have enough money already, it makes no sense to give more money to capitalist pigs. Anyway not many people download movies. its like what...100,000 per torrent? and thats if it's very popular which isn't the case most of the time.

  • @TheWargasmic So what about the indie developer who made a game called World Of Goo got 90% of the downloads it got was from piracy and 10% actually bought the game 80% of the of that 90 actually paid him for it. What the hell kind of money is that he was not a big multi million dollar company he was one man looking to get money for something to eat for god's sake.

  • @h0lyh4ck3r

if you are person that makes games for a living you are crazy. i'm talking about movies where a TON of money is put into play. a game made by a few developers can't expect to win that much money.

  • @TheWargasmic World Of Goo was good enough in my books to be really good. No i'm not a game dev I want to be and are currently questioning that. No what I was on about is game's like Gear Of War made by big developer with big money but you would pirate that no doubt. People should listen to indie dev's and indie film makers and amateur Song writers I have spoken to them they're interested in making money but are also very interested in changing media. Happy Christmas

  • @h0lyh4ck3r

lol. Firstly, even the developer doesn't stick by the 90% figure, given how they actually came up with it. Secondly, the game has seen plenty of success and renown - the game wasn't 'ruined' in the slightest. Thirdly, it was run as an experiment against another title that launched WITH DRM, and the results were similar. Given the fact that alot of people who pirated had turned and bought the game, the developer himself even hinted that he won a few converts.

  • @Mathenaut "the fact that alot of people who pirated had turned and bought the game, the developer himself even hinted that he won a few converts" A few out of how many thousands who pirated the game hundreds bought it. Star craft II had the right idea with copyright protection it allows you to play the single player on a copy but you have to purchase an account to play on battle.net

  • @h0lyh4ck3r

What you don't seem to get is that copy protection doesn't prevent anyone from pirating. Even on battlenet, you're paying for an access key to play online (which just happens to come with a purchased copy of the game).

The irony is that you seem to be more upset than the developer is over this. His experiment confirmed that piracy has minimal effect on the success of a game.

  • Pirate Bay is not going to be shut down to soon because they will/already bought a island near UK and make it their own personal country with no copyright rules , leaving them free to continue (Read it on wikipedia so don't start replying how it's not gonna work)

  • @terorvlad Does not make sense even they do have an island with no copyright law's the copy rights of other countries still count and they can still be fined for breaking that countries copyright laws. But it might work and it is a possibility they might get away with it or they're could be the possibility that America does a fucking SWAT raid on it.

  • a friend of mine who is into this stuff was using limewire and got busted downloading movies...Not kiddy porn...Not providing files... just downloading them to watch himself...You know borrowing from a friend...

anyway... they busted into his home in the middle of the night and charged him with piracy and tried to give him 20 years... he had 42 movies on his hard drive. He was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years federal. he had gotten warnings from his cable provider that he ignored

  • You see...the internet is a series of straws!

  • @DevNulZor "You see the internet is a series of toll roads"- not said yet

  • Soon the New World Order will name this as terrorism.

  • If companies made the product wanted to increase their profit by spreading the content on bittorrent networks they'd do so themselves and it would't be a piracy.

  • Copying digital content costs nothing! When Jonas Edward Salk was asked in a televised interview who owned the patent to the polio vaccine that he had discovered and developed, Salk replied: "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"

  • @DawkinsForWeAreMany I dont really give two shits about what you have to say and if i was where you are id just kill you plain and simple

  • what i do is i pirate, then if i like what i hear, i buy it, or i pirate when the ambum is impossible to find anywhere.

  • @DawkinsForWeAreMany For one clean up your language two art is art there will always be art money is a inhibitor to the development of society so a few people can have all the power and ive done plenty of work without getting paid people can work without getting paid just for the feeling of acomplishment so get out of your fucking hole

  • I pirate stuff all the time and i dont really care i wouldnt pay for it either way no one does no one cares if some rich fuck has to drive a rolls royce thats a year old because we refuse to pay for media or cant get his private island how about they bust real criminals there are plenty of mob members gangbangers cartels oil in the gulf a war with no end people starving natural disasters so yeah

  • from where i came from everyone downloads illegally because we dont have good connection to the internet to order the product and we dont have much money to purchase games if only the distributors could sell the stuffs at the same price as the pirated stuffs.

  • I bet the person who uploaded this video pirated it :P

  • Piracy is good

  • fuck yeah bittorrent

  • BSG FTW!

I need to get caught up on Caprica though. I've missed over half of season 1. BITTORRENT POWERS ACTIVATE!

Anyways, is this guy a economist, or a psychologist? Cause he has a AWESOME lecutre voice.

  • Whoops, I spelt "lecture" wrong.

  • Funnily enough I just downloaded this form bittorrent and was planning to upload it to youtube, but of course you got to it before me.

  • @sharperguy funnily? there's an adverb for funny? ahahaha that's funny!

  • @animeflip Hah. Maybe it's just a scottish thing.

  • @stkbkyle: Personally I think it's better to try the games and movies out first, then only buy the good stuff to support the makers.

That way you don't fund the producers of BAD games and movies, but you do fund the good ones. So more good stuff will be made.

  • now if it gets popular through torrent some ppl see it on tv. with time, everyone will be using torrent.

were not telling them you cant have it now, were sayin you can buy it now!

  • This lecturer is way too slow paced for the internet generation

  • @SkormFlinxingGlock That's why I'm going to cut it into samples and splice it into a Dubstep song.

  • Some people dont have money to buy games in countryes like serbia some game what is cheap in america it is ten times higher price in serbia that and price of some shoes like air max you can buy 4 for in america and 1 in serbia with same money

  • goddamn torrents are so slow but that's what you get for being a pirate

  • I want his voice.

That aside, it's an awesome talk.

  • Comment removed

  • true, but you can legally buy the content too, while being in control.

  • All data on the internet is either a 0 or a 1, how is two numbers piracy?

  • Why are you repeating this everywhere?

  • To help people as mentally deranged as yourself to realise that there is a view which is inconsistent with their own.

  • Denying to answer. Of course.

  • Denying to answer someones question as to why I am posting a message in multiple locations?

Isn't it obvious? One posts something multiple times because they want people to get their message.

  • wake up and smell the coffee, bit torrent is a 'new' thing and just like everything else that was new, people are afraid of it.

we have seen this before, just look at the printing press

  • warez-bb is better

  • I pirate all the time but i still have 34 games in my drawer, i support.

  • @Zevl12 you're still stealing.

  • OK There are literally countless songs out there produced by artists and record companies that have actually copied segments from earliers songs. It may be the tune of the chorus line, or certain distinctive riffs or notes. Should the artists and the record companies be sued for this breach of copyright? George Harrison was not the only one that misused music in this way. However if ISPs are going to be sued for what there clients do then record companies should be to.

  • It's called fair use, dip shit.

  • Wrong brightspark! It is called plagiarism.

  • STOP DRM

  • You have one thing right: the future lies with the works of the mind. Monetizing them, however, will not depend on the rigid enforcement of your particular interpretation of copyright. Far from it. If that means certain systems of organization (such as those which produce multi-tens-of-millions-of-dollars video games) fail, well, that's just the way it's going to be. No one is guaranteed a living, nor can anyone use the state as a cudgel to guarantee their living. That's 'rent-seeking'.

  • @mpesce so then by by your rationale you should be able to steal a dvd of a movie from wal-mart because it's not your job to guarantee anyone's living. it's someone else's intellectual property that you have to pay for and you are a thief if you don't. it's called compensation you dweeb.

  • @mpesce The present and indeed the past depend on works of the mind. The first person to make fire did so not due to simple muscle labor but an idea. If you dig a ditch in the wrong place it is just a hole in the ground.

Secondly "certain systems of organization" is some sort of protector of creative products? If anything we are moving toward a state where an individual can create and publish outside of a structure. That product is property. It is that product of the mind that is of any value.

  • Supermarkets provide physical goods. You are talking about piracy of cultural goods. The rules are in no way the same. Your analogy is completely false.

  • @mpesce exactly these people are either too thick or just too greedy to acknowledge it. IF somebody downloads music I write, it is in NO WAY the same as breaking into my house and taking a physical item from me. The easy argument against it is you wouldn't have bought it anyway, and anything I do is for the sake of doing it, not to get easy money.

  • supermarkets do not raise prices because of shoplifters, they raise prices as high as the consumer will pay. if that means they can blame it on weather or crime or narwhals they will.

  • @markxq 1 year later people still downloading from pirate bay, people will just make new sites

  • @markxq You're a moron. Torrent traffic is up, not down.

  • @markxq a little history lesson for you but the VHS, CD, DVD and radio all shared the same kind of piracy scare as the Internet today.

    Did it happen?

    No

  • I wont pirate video games, if the stores will allow me to return the game if it sucks. I pay 60$ the game sucks ass. Bam they stole my money.

I download the game from torrent, the game is good i buy it.The game is crap i delete it. In 4 years there were only i few games i enjoyed and still play. BF2, world of goo, COD4, TF2.

  • Great presentation. Though long, its very informative! It'll be great to see the entertainment industry embracing it.

Besides giving access to material that is foreign/old/unavailable by traditional means/above my price point, P2P allows me to samle what I DO buy.. I no longer have to be apprehensive when buying a game or movie or music.

There are still games with no demos, movie trailers that are not representative of the movie and stores that don't allow returns if seal is broken.

  • your walking down the street , and suddenly you see a hundred dollar bill on the sidewalk, you pick it up, walk some more and find another hundred bill. Question: Did you steal the bills ? (the money didn't come out of nowhere...it's gotta be from someones wallet )

  • "Question: Did you steal the bills ? (the money didn't come out of nowhere...it's gotta be from someones wallet ) "

Yes they came from somebody's wallet, but you didn't take it from the person.

    Short answer: no/

  • So, are you saying that copying cash is OK?

  • piracy will kill all industries that require creativity due to the fact that a file can be infinitly copied. I also blame the fact that we see television and video games as being corporate products and that we have been taught a one sided story of corporations bieng generically evil. (ironicly BY corporate products such as TV and video games.)

  • i totaly disagree. Piracy wil kill nothing. They said the tape recorder would kill radio, the video recorder would kill the cinema...etc.. Think about it this way; at the moment a record label will make money from the profits made by the artist, the sponsors, money made by tours, money paid by customers on many diferent levels. The artist only gets a tiny percentage of the money; also a record company can literally decide if a band wil make it big or not. If anyone can get ther music out ther...

  • I wholeheartedly agree with the points presented in this presentation. It really gets to the core of the problem

  • Comment removed

  • this dude is damn right we should be able to see it b4..

so we can come to grips if this show, movie, music etc. is good.

    I downloaded eminems relapse album.

Only to go to the store and buy it.

torrents let us sight the BS

torrents either give you a good or bad reputation.

for those expanding there image or company.

    GREAT VID!!!

  • but you can't go and sample the latest candy bar in the supermarket, can you? why should our products be any different? we work just as hard to make them?

  • The consumer pays for everything and the producer makes a fortune.

  • If a lot of people want the producers product, and they buy it, sure, he makes money. Welcome to Earth anno 21st century - we need money to live.

  • because its not my job to produce media to entertain. I am not employed in that sector of the market. I dont have the funding, the education or the help to create an entertainment product. And by that logic you're saying - only people with degrees can go to university, only people who can swim can have swimming lessons and only people who can write books are allowed to buy them. THINK before you comment.

  • it was read by 800 people or just downloaded by 800 people who read the first page, saw it was crap and didnt bother with the rest? If its good people pay. Look at films, music, tv programs - if they're good people pay. Sounds like your comic wasn't really worth the money. And sure, big companies might spend a year getting the funds for a film but hey - they make that ten fold back so they're not complaining; otherwise they wouldnt do it. Logical.

  • wrong.

if i like a game i download, i buy it. i should be able to test it before i want it. same with software.

in any commercial business situation youre given a free trial, someone tries to sell you it. this doesnt work for domestic uses. stop being some one dimensional.

  • There's demos made for the majority of PC games but that doesn't stop the huge portions of leechers from downloading the full game. There's also something called blockbuster that you can rent the game, and test it that way, and not to mention all the reviews, and playthroughs you could watch on youtube.

  • reviews aren't the same as testing something yourself.

you'll find there aren't demos for most games.

    blockbuster doesnt rent pc games.

  • @Schpudd Funny how you didn't address the "playthroughs on YouTube" part of his comment. Watching some playthrough videos of a game I'm interested in is usually all it takes for me to know if I ultimately want to buy a game or not. Downloading a full game for the sake of just testing it is a gigantic waste of time.

  • but its you. A lot of people download games, play them, have some fun, then they tell their friends how great the game is... but they never buy it, and all the thanks goes to torrent trackers.

  • yeah but it's not the job of the consumer to not want to get something for free. it's the job of the companies to put in procedures to stop this from happening - not from stopping a legitimate distribution channel.

i bought modern warfare 2, but the pirated version allows LAN and choosing which server you play on making it in essence a step above the retail. if consumer's wants arent being listened to it's no wonder a lot of people turn to piracy.

  • yeah, i bought modern warfare only becouse of huge respect to infinity ward and CoD series. But all those codes, cd checks and even Steam are treating costumers like animals. Agree with you

  • isn't the answer in his statement?? How do they make money? release torrents of their movies WITH ADVERTS... maybe 5 mins of adverts at the start and end. Think of how many people would see it... they could charge millions, thus making their money that way. Not from the view. The viewer pays for a tv, a computer, the internet, the software, the physical space..and we're charge once again with WATCHING what we have spent hundreds on just setting up. So why not chuck in a few adverts on a torrent?

  • As soon as a torrent with adverts has been released, someone is going to edit them out and re-release it as 'ad-free'.

Pirates are just shitheads who want, want, want. I wonder if any of these jerkoffs who promote piracy work for free themselves.. Somehow I seriously doubt it.

  • lol long live the pirate bay!

  • Is it ok to record my work on monday and then play it back for my boss tuesday threw friday and receive a full check, for a full weeks work?

  • If your job is to perform a series ofactions on a computer, that are the same every day, then yeah - why not?

  • I LOVE Torrents!!

  • That is so true! good information.

  • Yeah, I wouldn't want my work or creation being stolen. But, then again if your work means that much to you, why sell it in the first place?

  • I could buy a work of art for 150$, say right on the street. The next day, I can sell it off for double the price, NO ONE WOULD KNOW. Copyright laws are impossible to enforce. Yeah! That's immoral, but how can you prosecute that? Unless it happened on TV, it would be impossible to prosecute me.

  • Did you even *bother* to watch the presentation? Sheesh.

  • i did thanks for uploading it was great

  • Genious.

If the USA would realize this, we would certainly not be in the current state of this matter, today.

  • looooooooooool

  • Id pay 50 cents (that's the TV licence price in Sweden, not satelite/cable though) per day to see any program i can find on thepiratebay. Because if its company supported it probably got great seeds. And no one need to worry about getting caugth. Id love that. But sadly the companies that air these shows dosnt realise that they can make a fortune out of this. and im not old enough to start a company. So i guess we have to wait untill i turn 20 (im not starting a company before that).

  • The Industry must adapt or die.

    Period.

If your consumer base can get something for free, you find a way to make a profit off of that desire.

You don't bitch and moan on youtube, put some of that brain power to work in helping the industry evolve.

  • Yeah I'd like to see the day when the music/movie/gaming industry dies. :P

  • Think again. For how long av real music existed? 100 years? If even that. And there is NOTHING today, that can compare itself with musicians such as Michaek Jackson, Queen, Abba, The Beatles etc etc. REAL music WILL die. Very soon too. Movies are on the line too.

Something must happen. Adapt or die.

If you dont see it, you are just afraid and narrow-minded. Deal with it. Its gonna happen.

  • Who decides what REAL music is? It's a matter of taste, the same thing goes for your statement about that nothing can compare to Queen, Abba etc. Therefor YOU are the one who's narrow-minded.

Music is so much and so personal, atlest for me.

  • lmao

  • not gonna happen as long as we live in a world driven by money - face it. people need to pay their rent, whether they are film producers or mechanics.

  • art belongs to every1. you cant repress information and culture. ppl that you aline yourself with r doing this. if you create software patton it. its not yours its your idea. and listen it is sharing when it comes to music. if i have a cd and i let 10000 ppl listen to it i have done nothing wrong if i made no $.

  • What the Hell do you mean that my work belongs to everyone. What am I, a slave? 300 years ago, copyright law was created to protect the rights of people that use their brains. You are iliving in the 17th Century where artists starved.

If you upload a CD, you are a criminal and violate the rights of the workers that made that CD. Those rights are in your Constitution. You violate their constitutional rights.

  • i think its wrong 4 ppl to profit on music 50 years after the artist died there should be limits to copy rights untill there is you may have the law on your side, but justice is on mine. call me a thief all you want im still on the right side and you r on the wrong side.

  • 1. There is a time limit on copyrights.

    2. If I build a house for my family, should it "time out" after a specified period? I built it - why should someone else take it?

    3. Are you saying you only download music, films, software, books, magazines created by dead people?

How is it "justice" to steal the hard work of the workers of the world? How am I on the "wrong side" for wanting people to stop stealing my work?

  • how long is the time limit on copyrights? and can they be renewed?

i should be able to copy a shakespeare or poe with having to pay any1. or listen to an elvis song without paying a buck 50.

your house arguement dont work. cus if i buy a house i can let my friends stay there.

  • 1. Copyrights can be extended one time only.

    2. You can copy Shakespeare or Poe all you wish.

    3. You can legally loan a CD to a friend too. You just can't copy it. Uploading and downloading are copying.

  • Squatters rights if you want to get technical, at any rate your house analogy is flawed because a house has a purpose, and that is to provide shelter. In the past music was a form of cultural expression, now it is nothing. I would liken commercial music to a narcotic, or prostitutes, things you don't need but want anyway for self gratification. If anyone should be paid millions, it should be people who risk their lives and break their backs. Not artists and the corporations that own them.

  • 1. If you actually feel that music is "nothing," that it is like "prostitutes," I feel sorry for you. And if you feel it is nothing, why steal it? Just dont use it.

    2. Here we have this lie again that the money goes to millionaires. It is utter nonsense. Most of the money goes to millions of workers. Billions of dollars have been lost by millions of workers according to Gartner Research.

  • If you ready my post properly I also said narcotics, which are addictive, sometimes people do things they know are not good for them. And my not listening to music would not change the situation for those workers and millionaires.

At any rate I couldn't care less about Gartner, I don't kno them, don't want to. What I do know is i see well dressed artists and record execs driving nice cars, and that's real to me, not some made up research cooked up by a dying desparate industry.

  • 1. I read your post. You think music is bad for you. Again, I feel sorry for you.

    2. You think empirical evidence is better than research. Hillarious. Exactly where do you see these record execs? Movies? Cartoons? Gartner Research is a highly respected, independent company that has NEVER been in the music industry. Pirates steal from workers.

    3. Look, you think music is "nothing" and that it is "not good for" people. So why would you steal it? Why would you want other people to steal it?

  • Gartner may not be in the businesss of selling music, but they were paid by people who are. We are the consumers, that means we are the bosses, we NEVER have to change to accomodate an industry. You guys are the ones losing money, If you want to make money you either change to accomodate us the consumers or you can hit the road jack. It's no one's problem but your own, you can whine till you are blue in the face, but that won't pay the bills.

  • 1. Gartner's stellar reputation would be destroyed if they made up stats. You see stats you don't like, and just make up lies.

    2. Are you saying it is OK to steal from GM because you don't like their cars?

3.If you don't like a product, don't buy it. But this is no excuse to steal it.

    4. It is you that have "no insight." You are living in the 17th Century, before intellectual property rights were invented. Move out of the Middle Ages and stop stealing from workers.

  • You guys are like General Motors, you have no insight. GM tried to tell consumers what they wanted, gave em a crap product, thought loyalty would be enough to secure a meal ticked. But they were wrong, we turned the tables on them and now they are screwed. If the consumers say that stealing your music is right, and fair, then it is so. It is your job to find a way to profit from that and keep us happy at the same time. That's life buddy, deal with it.

  • Wow, I've never really thought about the ADs in the way Mark said. It makes *total* sense that the real threat to freedom of information and media are the marketing companies.

  • i think its wrong to make $ selling copies of music, movies, or video games. but sharing music online or making utube vids with movie scenes is like letting your friends barrow a movie or game u bought. the entertainment industry shouldnt sue their fans.

  • Um, if everyone just steals music, films, software, etc, how do the tans of millions of people in those industries get paid? And why shouldn't criuminals be sued? Why not make everything free, lay off all workers and completely destroy the economy.

  • sharing music is not stealing. this guy is absoulutly right the ppl that down load free music wouldnt buy the cds. all music sharing does is give the bands more popularity. its unconstitional to keep copy rights on art forever also.

  • Hillarious. You claim it is "unconstitional to keep copyrights on art forever also." First, copyrights aren't forever. Second, you are from the US and copyright rights are in the US Constitution. You wish to remove property rights provided in the US Constitution. What other rights would you like removed? The Bill of Rights?

  • ever heard of the 1st admendment.

  • Yes I've heard of the First Amendment. It says the gov't cannot establish religoin or interfere with speech. That's why you can post opinions. What does this have to do with stealing from people? Do you think the US Constitution gives you the right to steal from workers? If so, read Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 of the Constitution, known as the Intellectual Property Clause. It gives me the right to copyright and protect myself from criminals that copy my work.

  • If these fags are too dumb to prevent their own work from getting pirated thats their problem no one else's bro. Not even the U.S. Constitution can interfere with Darwinism

  • 1. Why is it that so many people here are homophobic?

    2. Most people here say that it is OK to pirate because of anti-piracy techniques like DRM. You are saying the opposite - that is is OK to pirate when there are no anti-piracy techniques. Is that what you want, more inconvenient, annoying anti-piracy methods?

    3. Any thief can get past a door lock. Does that make it OK to rob someone's house?

    4. Do you actcually believe stealing is a rung up on the evolutionary ladder?

  • More anti-piracy techniques will only harm the inferior. Thats Darwinism 101. In a way it will foster the evolution of smarter, more efficient piraters hence impacting natural selection in a positive way

Youre viewing stealing in a narrow, simplistic way. Its not concrete- there are many forms and many other factors to consider

  • Hillarious. What, you think stealing from you is bad but stealing from me is good? Yeah, I'm narrow-minded and simplistic. Stealing food out of the mouths of my children is bad. That's why it's illegal.

And anyone that believes that evolution means breeding smarter criminals has a criminal mind.

  • no i think that if you cant protect your own material that you spend millions of dollars on you're a fucking douche and need to bow down to the people who owned you (me).

Evolution means breeding smarter anything. Supply and demand combined with Darwinism in beautiful harmony

  • 1. Only a sexual immature person constantly repeats words like faq and douche.

    2. Yes you have made it clear that victims of crime should bow down to you because stealing is easy.

    3. Violating people's rights and stealing from workers is not "smarter" in the mind of moral people. Nor has evolution thus far suggested that natural selection breeds more and better criminals. Reread Darwin.

  • 1. From your defense of gays you are an obvious homosexual. Its ok though I understand

    2. Depends what you consider stealing -obviously not what i consider stealing since i dont take a simplistic view to life. Morals are also opinions

    3. The basic principles of Darwinism do suggest that. Without stimulus there can be no adaptation.

  • 1. Only a bigot would claim that anyone who defends a group must be of that group. But then you have already indicated that you do not care about the rights of others.

    2. From the Oxford English Dictionary: Steal - "To take or appropriate dishonestly anything belonging to another, whether material or immaterial."

    From Websters:

"STEAL may apply to any surreptitious taking of something and differs from the other terms by commonly applying to intangibles as well as material things"

  • 1. Ive already said I understand. Thats a false accusation and libel is also an illegal offense.

    2. and how do you define appropriate dishonestly/surreptitious taking? Obviously in a naive and infantile manner judging by your posts

  • 1. You are the one that made a false accustation, not I. I am not gay (as if it mattered) - you are a bigot. Lashing out at people by calling them bigotted names is sad.

    2. You don't know what libel is.

    3. I define it by 300 years of law and the Berne Convention signed by 164 countries. EVERY civilized country in the world agrees. You cannot have a discussion without agreeing on definitions.

    4. Throwing names at victims of crime is not an argument.

  • 1. Theres no need for denial her no one is attacking your personal choice.

    2. libel is a statement through written words or images that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image.

    3. Thats also false. If you knew anything about the administartive process youd know interpretation of laws is a vital component.

  • 1. This is the third time you have called me a homosexual. You clearly have a problem with your sexuality.

    2. Yes, you have made three false accusations against me. But, this is not libel since it causes no damage.

    3. Huh. You are rambling now. What's false? The Berne Convention and copyright law are crystal clear.

Do you have an actual point? All you are doing is name-calling and obfuscating.

  • 2. Stating that I disregard other legal rights is a false claim is intended to give me a negative image.

    3. You are obviously a dumb shit since you do not understand any of my statements. Written law must be interpreted by administrative official. If it wasnt we would have no need for judges and law enforcement officials could prosecute individuals on the spot

  • 2a. You have repeatedly supported violating intellectual property rights of others. Rights enumerated in your constitution.

2b. You cannot harm the image of a person that posts anonymously.

3a. And courts have ruled that piracy is illegal for 300 years.

3b. Name-calling is not an argument. Why can you not make a case without resorting to names like "dumb shit." Do you think this has any positive effect at all?

  • a. more falsified information.

2b. who says I am posting anonymously?

3a. yes piracy. now interpret it and sentence individuals. Oh I forgot you cant since you are not a trial judge or jury.

3b. Thats what I resort to because its apparently the only thing dumb shits like you can comprehend. Obviously not logic since you've largely ignored and misinterpreted a large portion of my statements

  • 2b. Are you claiming your real name is mrbeefy1515?

3a. If a person is raped, she has every right to point the finger at a rapist and call him a rapist. The concept of guilty until proved innocent is to ensure that government action is not taken against the accused before trial. The victim of a crime has every right to accuse. Pirate Bay has stolen my software. I have every right to say this.

  • 2b. when did I claim that?

3a. You can accuse all you want but cant convict anyone of a crime. Basically know your role and shut your hole. Your software wouldnt have been "supposedly stolen" if you were smart enough to protect it. Maybe that should influence you to raise your intelligence level next time to prevent from getting outwitted again. Darwinism at it's finest.

3b. No you avoiding my valid claims and then posting more irrelevent bullshit is not logical.

  • You have given in completely. Your posts are now nothing but streams of insults with no argument at all.

  • 3b. You continue to throw churlish names. This is what you use for logic and then claim I am not logical. You will never get anywhere like this. Try convincing your boss, GF, or a judge of anything by repeatedly calling them "dumb shit."

  • My goal is not to convince you of anything. In fact I couldnt care less what you think. People like you fear people like me because your know that for every few million of you there will always be one of me. Smarter, hungrier and sexier. Like you served and idolized your contemporaries so your children will serve and idolize me. You are the past; I am the future

  • Just streams of insults and dillusions of grandeur. No mention of the subject. You are trolling.

  • like i said i think its wrong to make $ off other ppls work. but sharing music on line is no differant than letting some1 borrow your cd. its wrong 4 companies to sue its customers. and if that ever happens again i hope ppl have the balls to boycott their asses.

  • It is completely different. Letting someone borrow your CD is legal, if no one copies it. It is copying that is illegal. Uploading it means one million people makes copies. That destroys the owner of the intellectual property rights. See the difference?

And why os it wrong to sue criminals that are destroying your business?

  • boycotts are perfectly legal also. ruining ppls lives cuz they download a few songs should be illegal. and businesses that fall behind the times should go out of business.

  • Yes boycotts are legal. If you hate the people that create content so much, boycott them. What does this have to do with the fact that you steal from people?

Ruining workers lives by stealing from them is illegal. Why do you do it? Why should it be illegal to sue criminals that steal from you? Why should it be illegal to defend your rights against greedy criminals like you? How does sueing someone ruin their life?

How is protecting yourself against crime "falling behind the times?"
