  • I still have the BK CD from almost 20 years ago that I bought when I was in college. My classmates made fun of me, but the true is they were just jealous because the girls in BK are prettier and more talented than they are.

  • What's the brown hair lady doin these days? I thought she was sexy! But I was just a kid when this hit.

  • Really interesting video, ruined by poor lighting and sound. It would be great for a professional documentary maker to explore what happened to all the girls from Boy Krazy. It would be a compelling cautionary tale for many wannabe pop stars and celebs. This Johanna Cummings's current life is really sad.

  • Can hardly hear it

  • @kimberlymcraig what is johanna cummings's date of birth?

  • I am a firm believer that "timing is everything"! She could have been massive! The same thing with Wild Orchid but look at Fergie. Ya have to keep pushing and wanting it......................

  • I am currently stockpiling songs to create my own personal pop music anthology, beginning in 1964 and ending in the present. For every year during that time frame, I have selected 18 songs that charted #40 or higher on the Billboard Hot 100, and each song appears in chronological order. "That's What Love Can Do" is one of the 18 tracks that will be featured on my 1993 compilation, right alongside musicians like Toad The Wet Sprocket, Dr. Dre, Stereo MC's, Ice Cube, Soul Asylum and Mariah Carey.

  • Wow that sucks, i feel terrible. I love ya girl

  • Johnna, you're my kind of girl :) Still you should be proud of the records Boy Krazy made ,that album still sounds great today and maybe someday things will happen for you again. Pete Waterman had faith in you because of your voice which had a similar quality to Kylie Minogue's and at least had a shot at a solo album with you. Even if BK did the occasional appearance in Gay clubs you still have a substantial following to make a good living from it :)

  • I know she likely won't see any money from this, but PWL has remastered all of Boy Krazy's single EPs and the album, and even some unreleased BK singles...they're all available on iTunes worldwide, if you wanna check out how truly talented Johnna really is.

  • God, this is very sad...I never thought she

    would be in that position.

    I hope she'll make a comeback.

  • I wish Johnna all of the joy and happiness that her work has brought me. I fell in love with BK with my first listening of TWLCD and immediately bought the disc. While a lot of the tracks were typical and by that time slightly outdated SAW pop fluff, each listen simply made me happy and I agree with those that feel TWLCD is one of the most underrated pop songs ever. Your solo work after BK, while understandably not your vision, was executed flawlessly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  • Thank you for posting this video.

  • That is very sad to see people fall so hard from the stage. Entertainment is a very fickle business. I guess it's best to enjoy it while it lasts but keep in mind that something else maybe needed in the future.

My heart goes out to Johnna and I wish her the best to get back on her feet. If she lived in my city, I would hire her to try to help her get straight and for a lot more than $6/hour.

  • Bad timing...in 1993 the Stock Aiken Waterman sound was yesterday's news and the Spice Girls were still three years away.

Looking at the headwinds she was facing (her girls with guitars remark), it's a minor miracle that TWLCD made the Top 20, but it was a really strong song.

Problem was that the group was also saddled with the usual Stock Aiken Waterman deficiencies...generic image and G-rated, soporific lyrics.

By contrast, the lyrics of "Wannabe" and "2 Become 1" are positively edgy!

  • Johnna, It's "mel"...your homie from back in the day. I'm so glad that you still have your scorpio sense of humor & are still alive...I'm married now(go figure)& my life is still a fuckin nightmare but i was so glad to see this video & was thinking of our crazy crew & missing you. I have'nt seen the crew in a while but some have blogs/websites that i checked out & everytime i see a pink video, i think of you...i've learned to expect less cuz that's all i've ever gotten, we are survivors: holla

  • I've got all Johnna's singles and the Pride album, always wished she could have been more successful than she was, have loved her misic for over 10 years! Hope things get better for her in time and she can take charge of her life again.

  • I worked with Johnna at PWL in the 90's recording her solo album. She is one of the most talented, intelligent people I've ever met and it breaks my heart to watch this. Everything she says is true, Waterman treated her like shit, ignored her ideas, failed to understand Johnna or realise what an opportunity he had due to his conceited ignorance and then blamed her!! Johnna I hope you can take back control of your life and find the happiness you deserve. You'll always be TANK GIRL to me, Mark X

  • Wow. I have the 12" vinyl of "In My Dreams" to Johnna which I bought for the excellent Forth Coded Dub Mix. However, the vinyl sleeve has a rather nice picture where she looks really hot, so I decided to google her name and came across the Wikipedia page which linked to this. Quite interesting and sad at the same time.

  • Very interesting. I read on Wikipedia to look at this short and am surprised that she is where she is right now. TWLCD was huge when I was in college and I always wondered what happened after that song was so popular. Too bad that some pop stars don't view simply entertaining people with lighthearted songs as "art". I like an escape every now and then. Cheers to all!

  • this was a terrific short kimberly, good job :)

  • Very memorable film. I became a fan of Boy Krazy when I picked up a copy of "Stock Aitken Waterman Gold" - it was one of the standout tracks. Nice to see such good work from a SCAD student; I just finished applying there!

  • i'm not the kimberly from boykrazy, just a friend of johnna's who happens to have the same FIRST name.

  • @kimberlymcraig fake

  • Bloody hell. That one of the most fearless (and, as someone said before, heartbreaking) portraits of the other side of pop.

I didn't even put it together until the end that Kimberly - from BoyKrazy - made this film. That absolutely blew me away.

Please know, Kimberly and Johnna, that there are many fans who regard your record as one of the most underappreciated pop records of its time. For those that can enjoy the genre for what it is, your album holds a special place for all of us.

  • Poor woman had it rough sounds like :( I really like her to

  • That is depressing! I love her voice and actually own the BK album as well as Johnna's solo album.

  • Do What You Feel with the Matt Darey mixes is even better, as you can see on YT if you search johnna. But that's a good song too. Hope things work out for her down the road.

  • I'd like to be able to hear it. Did anyone else have trouble hearing it?

  • Me too. It's not everything to have an hour with a former celeb. It's doing them a bit of a disservice to make it practically inaudible.

  • She had a great voice, its really a shame. A lot better than Britney Spears, I just heard that song on XM Radio 90s channel. I remember that song from when I was in the seventh grade. You are great, you should consider coming back...

  • Those five simple rules for happiness are great.

  • This was so good -- funny and heartbreaking. I was a fan of Johnna during the BK and solo years. Here's hoping she gets it together and comes back to music someday! Her voice was really something special.

  • Wow, if you reading this Johnna, I was a fan of your Boy Krazy stuff and your solo album from the 90s. I hope things get better for you. :-)

  • Thank you very much. I still play Boy Krazy.

  • OMG!!! That was YOU from Boy Krazy doing this documentary on the video. WOW!!!!

  • Wow thank you so much
