  • @meowgannett Yes you do - that is just an understood rule and it won't be reiterated in instructions.

  • Do you stip three stitches every time you repeat? Or is it just for the first stitch?

  • @FaselyTrue You always do this for the first stitch on each row. It's to keep the stitches from puckering.

    i'm not sure of something here. after i finish the first row of the half double stitch and turn the row, should i insert the hook under the higher loop of the v or under both loops of the v?

  • So, yarn over, put through and pull up stitch on needle,, then yarn over again and pull through all three loops.  Got it. I was forgetting to yarn over the first time. Your videos are so clear. Thank you.

  • you know, I've got to tell you... I try to follow the instructions in these books... but they are worthless. I have become a crocheting machine since I have found youtube more helpful. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and am thrilled that I have successfully been able to complete a blanket for my baby girl (before she arrives). Thanks for such clear instructions

  • When you are going into your second stitch, do you use the second crochet over, like the first time, or do you still go into the second one over?

  • You are welcome! You just go into the next stitch. The first stitch is the only one you skip chain stitches for unless your pattern tells you otherwise.
