Do you stip three stitches every time you repeat? Or is it just for the first stitch?

@FaselyTrue You always do this for the first stitch on each row. It's to keep the stitches from puckering.

So, yarn over, put through and pull up stitch on needle,, then yarn over again and pull through all three loops.  Got it. I was forgetting to yarn over the first time. Your videos are so clear. Thank you.

you know, I've got to tell you... I try to follow the instructions in these books... but they are worthless. I have become a crocheting machine since I have found youtube more helpful. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and am thrilled that I have successfully been able to complete a blanket for my baby girl (before she arrives). Thanks for such clear instructions

When you are going into your second stitch, do you use the second crochet over, like the first time, or do you still go into the second one over?

You are welcome! You just go into the next stitch. The first stitch is the only one you skip chain stitches for unless your pattern tells you otherwise.
