This is seriously a book that EVERYBODY needs to read. Even if you don't agree with everything in it or disagree with his ideas about evolutionary psychology, it will cause you to totally rethink how you make your decisions from day to day. If everybody read this, the marketers of fear, from the government to the advertisers to the lobbyists, would not hold the grasp on us that they do.
Does anyone else find it strange that here in the UK, Canada and Aus his book was published as 'Risk: The Science and Politics of Fear' but the word 'Politics' was ommitted for the US market?

I'm halfway through his book, The Science of Fear, and it's already changed the way I see people interacting, the way I think about the world, and how I feel about statistics from not only the media, but from scientific reports.

His book literally changed my perception on life. Every faucet of it. It's excellent AND very easy to read. I'd encourage every westerner to get it.
