  • @happybeingmummy how many times iv said that--the 70s what a era--was doing season work in Jersey c.i. in 76-that hot summer we had -happy days

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH, LIKE A LOT OF US IN OUR 40's, WE HAVE BOXES & BOXES OF RECORDS IN OUR LOFTS GATHERING DUST, NOT REALLY SURE ON HOW TO DOWNLOAD THEM OR COPY ETC ETC......OR MAYBE IT'S JUST ME !! VERY EMOTIONAL LISTENING TO THESE, SO MANY MANY MEMORIES, NOT ALL HAPPY ONES.

  • Hey great vid. Being a teenager during the 70's was great. The best decade of music.

  • Brilliant compilation ! Thanks !

  • from the 60's to 70's, then 80's and... I can't find any other decade with better music than this. We like diversity and uniqueness, don't we? that's it! among the few thousands songs I have on my HD, the most often listened music is certainly from the 70's. And rock. I'm not sure 50 years form now what it will be like but my kids are trying to dig out the oldies, mostly from the 70's and 80's, so they may feel cool again. they say they are NEW songs. I like this change a lot.

  • ravenwhitechapel is from USA and its inconceivable that charts exist outside the USA! Nice collection of songs, keep up the good work :)

  • The 70's has to be the best decade of music! Awesome job with this video, much appreciated.

  • Big thanks to our fathers generation for their sacrifice 1939-45 so we were free to listen to Radio Lux in the 70s bless them all...best year for music 1972!!!!

  • Many people may say - you love music from your own teeneger years but definitely 70's were the most tallented , creative and stylish years .Everyone could tell spot on wich is the band or singer and what's the name of the song .

I'm not too old yet but these days so many artists sound the same - I think it's because music has become JUST BUSINESS and moguls bake them as pancakes in large amounts .

  • love it,so many memories,I have lots of 70.s LP's,but nothing to play them on.Thanks

  • i'm proud to say i have most of these brill songs on 7in vinal... thanks to my older bro's

  • Such, such sweet memories. Priceless. Thanks for posting.

  • Fantastic Video really enjoyed ..thanks

  • great if all you want is a few bars how do you work this.

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • I can't tell you how many times I've gone to sites like Amazon.com to download songs that I've rediscovered on youtube. Record companies have got to be glad that youtube exists. At least I am.

  • Very, very nicely put together - thanks!

  • Oh how I love these songs. I grew up with them all and boy they hit me right where music should - in the heart of a never forgotten teenager.

  • I don't remember some of these?

  • They were all on the USA charts...Raven

  • excellent xx dee uk xx

  • loving this

  • Wish I could get these full songs on a disc!!!

  • excellent job! shows how varied the music was in 70's as opposed to the mindless, tuneless crap we have to put up with today

  • Fantastic job, there wasn't one song there that wasn't on the Australian charts, and I can't be sure but I'm pretty sure they were if not no. 1's, very bloody close. Thanks. I sat here with a pen and wrote them all down and now you've given me a great list of songs to go and get full versions of. Great job.

    Cheers from Australia

  • @katiesweeney00 Agree, I think the UK charts ruled us in the early 70s, the American songs contain a lot we never heard of. Guess they had a lot more groups whereas in Aussie & the UK we had our main groups who had hit after hit. Wish someone could do an Aussie 70s compilation too. Cheers from down under.

  • @bostonsurfboard They are in datal order. Not sure what you mean there.

  • what was the name of tht song on the intro of this video

  • wow... takes me back, somewhat...

  • not ALL were even on the charts

  • @ravenwhitechapel Really? Which ones weren't in the UK charts?

  • wow !!! i loved the 70s it was so normal and,we were all mad crazy disco divas!!! coooooooool

  • Now this is TRUE 70'S stuff..I can remember dancing to all these hits on the dancefloor!!!..Great memories!!..thanks for this excellent compilation!!!

  • The text font sux, unreadable. UK, taste in music sux too.

  • @barto11000

Text font is reminiscent of that used on album covers in the late 60's to early 70's, and is perfectly readable to me. Taste in music is great, so thanks to the uploader.

When you say sux, I take it you mean 'sucks' - just like your comment. Lets hope you've learnt to spell by the time you get out of your sandbox.

  • 8:20! LOL, that songs hilarious

  • 54 now ! listen to this and im 16/17 all over again,at that time had a definate problem with white POP music, only the black soul music would do ,now just sit back and listen to this and you realise what you were missing, good music is good music, but the seventies created some great music, and now i can savor it all over again !

  • @DeKomP You must have loved Smokey Robinson as I do to this day?

  • Kate Bush....back when talent and not sexual promiscuity sold records.

  • Addicted to Band of Goild because of this vid! :D

  • @JaNa10100 I loved that song! Great melody. One of my very very favourites of the time.

  • Seems like a million years ago to me. But great stuff. Nothin` but love for you !

  • these are great, thanks!

  • love this

  • hanx for the memories am away to play wi ma evel keneval motorbike

  • old tunes never die

  • @MrBuckley123 Yes they are gonna be around for ever! They can never replace the oldies with the tunes of today, nothing like it and never will , a bit like 7 up , lol.

  • well done !! make`s me feel even older !! LOL. thanx 4 postin.

  • Got an ear 4 music? then this is the time you missed , or hit !

  • good stuff!

  • man i love this stuff

  • a great reflection of the 70's - vol 2? Please!

  • First song is "Hold your head up" by " Argen".

  • my woman likes me to hit her with my rhythm stick

  • I was fortunate enough to be born in 1972 and I grew up singing all these songs and more! Brings back many awesome memories of a blessed, sheltered, innocent and golden childhood! Thanks so much for uploading. The 70's were the best decade to grow up in!

  • More please ! How about number 2s !

  • @Aqene1000 Done!

  • intor is hold your head up by argent

  • ARGENT "Hold Your Head Up"

  • the font sucks, hard to read

  • Hold your head up by Argent

  • what a great selection, thank you

  • I remember absolutely loathing Starry starry night. Drove me up the wall!

  • totally awesome... thank you very much

  • whats the song in the intro

  • @klaas822 - as I remember its Argent 'Hold Your Head Up'

  • @MaireMc You are correct

  • @MaireMc I remember that song coming out in 1972

  • @klaas822 Hold your head up-Argent. My friend was a Pom Pom girl in the 70's they did a routine to this song.

  • What a decade! I bet it was a difficult task deciding what to put in and what to leave out. My favourite, absolutely, without doubt 10CCs 'I'm not in Love' and it was definately 1975/

  • WMG..Choke on your billions since you don't share proportionally with the artists!!

  • i'm not in love 10 cc , in 1975 and not 1979

  • @kallyfest . Yep you're right. The songs are in chronological order and 'I'm not in Love' is labelled as 1975. The 70's font is a bit deceptive.

  • Thank you for posting Mairemc. I have so many brilliant memories of the 70's and these tunes brought it all flooding back. Ta.

  • @TheShmoo123 Thank you! My pleasure. I also love this era of music.

  • wow....what a compilation.brings back a lot of memories for me.thanks for posting.....i have to say the 70's was the greatest music era.

  • @dc2289 It certainly was! Thanks for taking the trouble to post a comment.
