Great selection! From a more innocent time, but still, by the mid-70's began to be hit by realities... I remember growing up with alot of those music in the mid-70's. Thank you for this!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, LIKE A LOT OF US IN OUR 40's, WE HAVE BOXES & BOXES OF RECORDS IN OUR LOFTS GATHERING DUST, NOT REALLY SURE ON HOW TO DOWNLOAD THEM OR COPY ETC ETC......OR MAYBE IT'S JUST ME !! VERY EMOTIONAL LISTENING TO THESE, SO MANY MANY MEMORIES, NOT ALL HAPPY ONES.
from the 60's to 70's, then 80's and... I can't find any other decade with better music than this. We like diversity and uniqueness, don't we? that's it! among the few thousands songs I have on my HD, the most often listened music is certainly from the 70's. And rock. I'm not sure 50 years form now what it will be like but my kids are trying to dig out the oldies, mostly from the 70's and 80's, so they may feel cool again. they say they are NEW songs. I like this change a lot.
Big thanks to our fathers generation for their sacrifice 1939-45 so we were free to listen to Radio Lux in the 70s bless them all...best year for music 1972!!!!
Many people may say - you love music from your own teeneger years but definitely 70's were the most tallented , creative and stylish years .Everyone could tell spot on wich is the band or singer and what's the name of the song .
I'm not too old yet but these days so many artists sound the same - I think it's because music has become JUST BUSINESS and moguls bake them as pancakes in large amounts .
I can't tell you how many times I've gone to sites like Amazon.com to download songs that I've rediscovered on youtube. Record companies have got to be glad that youtube exists. At least I am.
Fantastic job, there wasn't one song there that wasn't on the Australian charts, and I can't be sure but I'm pretty sure they were if not no. 1's, very bloody close. Thanks. I sat here with a pen and wrote them all down and now you've given me a great list of songs to go and get full versions of. Great job.
@katiesweeney00 Agree, I think the UK charts ruled us in the early 70s, the American songs contain a lot we never heard of. Guess they had a lot more groups whereas in Aussie & the UK we had our main groups who had hit after hit. Wish someone could do an Aussie 70s compilation too. Cheers from down under.
Now this is TRUE 70'S stuff..I can remember dancing to all these hits on the dancefloor!!!..Great memories!!..thanks for this excellent compilation!!!
Text font is reminiscent of that used on album covers in the late 60's to early 70's, and is perfectly readable to me. Taste in music is great, so thanks to the uploader.
When you say sux, I take it you mean 'sucks' - just like your comment. Lets hope you've learnt to spell by the time you get out of your sandbox.
54 now ! listen to this and im 16/17 all over again,at that time had a definate problem with white POP music, only the black soul music would do ,now just sit back and listen to this and you realise what you were missing, good music is good music, but the seventies created some great music, and now i can savor it all over again !
@MrBuckley123 Yes they are gonna be around for ever! They can never replace the oldies with the tunes of today, nothing like it and never will , a bit like 7 up , lol.
I was fortunate enough to be born in 1972 and I grew up singing all these songs and more! Brings back many awesome memories of a blessed, sheltered, innocent and golden childhood! Thanks so much for uploading. The 70's were the best decade to grow up in!
What a decade! I bet it was a difficult task deciding what to put in and what to leave out. My favourite, absolutely, without doubt 10CCs 'I'm not in Love' and it was definately 1975/
