It's all Iha's fault the band went to shit. Billy was covering and trying to protect his friend, but Iha was being a selfish prick. Poor Chamberlin got the shaft as a result. Iha could easily be replaced, but not Jimmy. He's the worlds best drummer. Better than Pert.

@mistertomo123 Yea. He looks like he just stands there "singing" out lyrics but not meaning them. That shows in musicians. Watch anything from 2000 live back and he is in his prime. His voice changed overnight in Zwan for the worst.

i think the reason the pumpkins split is because of vampire billy the guy seems to have an ego bigger than lucifer, and its a shame because this type of band should have stuck together like u2, rolling stones etc. its a shamr their music with the original band members will never be the same

Shit its a fucking shame chamberlain left the band, I mean I understand his reasons and all but fuck he was such a unique drummer and brought such an interesting element to the Pumpkins mix. They still rock and Billy fucking rocks but its still sad to see him leave. Its gonna be interesting to see what they fucking come up with next and what crazy ideas they put into practice.

@tomnews66 You should see the new drummer, Mike Bryne, He has his own sytle and is extremely on point for being 20 years old. I met him at the NYC show in July. He is great...a good replacement for Jimmy but not a "replacement" if you know what I mean. Also, Billy is extremely happy as of late, I got to meet him too and he actually shook my hand-(a rumored recluse). It's safe to say the Pumpkins are back.

If anybody on here has seen more than a few Smashing Pumpkins live performances I have a question: do they suck live all the time or was Billy just not feeling it on this particular night? Billy's a great musician but many of the live performances posted on Youtube were subpar and I had begun to think that it was the case at all their concerts. Anybody know?

@koolguy1029 Me too. I can play this perfectly, by the book, on the guitar. I know the drums. Most people know a bunch of Metallica songs. All I know are Pumpkins songs. I know all of Siamese Dream, most of Gish, and about half of Mellon Collie by heart on guitar.

@theboomster You're so right about that one guy. I've been playing drums on and off for 10 + years, and I love Jimmy Chamberlin. Sush a unique drummer, I doubt the Pumpkins will ever sound the same again since he has left the band. It's funny to hear that you practiced the Pumpkins material, me too! I always liked Chamberlin's style, others i know worshiped Danny Carey, Herb Alexander, or Joey Jordison all great drummers. It's funny i can never find a guitarist to play Pumpkins material.

I dig this song a lot but i dont get why, alot of the times, thay play the songs a faster whay they are playing them live. It just sounds better to me the way it does on the album. Suppose its to get the crowd hyped up, but still. Sounds a lot better when played slow.
