i love how excited people get about the barge canal and the erie canal. the only difference between it and some river 20 min. from where you live is that people dug it and it's more famous. to my knowledge, no one has found the meaning of life by kayaking on it

I grew up on or near the Barge (LOL) canal most of my life. If you ever feel the need to experience mind numbing boredom or just want to waste a day trying to thing of ways to poke your eyeball out than take a ferry cruise down the canal to the locks....that is a great time...hahahah
