  • LOL, Gottardo can be indeed called Scarpia's granddad! This is 1989 Rossini festival, right? I love Sam Ramey in bel canto repertoire more than anywhere else. It's just unbelievably gorgeous when a bass pulls off all these coloraturas with such elegance ans style.
