  • I have been an avid Bill Alexander painting lover. If I am that rich i would like ti collect his paintings. I love every stroke he did its full of life.. its so realistic.... Two thumbs up for this man.

  • phenomenal

  • i love u too bill.

  • bob ross is more relaxing

  • @blurplemarkers bob ross rushes thru the painting and cuts corners ,,, Alexander took his time ,,I learned much more from Alexander ,His paintings were far more detailed and therefore more realistic ...

To me Ross doesn't hold a candle to the man who taught him this technique.I like to watch ross but The master is the best

  • @stymye Are you jokeing..these look like a pale copy of Bob Rosses...is it the Emperors new clothes thing with you,,do you see something we dont...take a look at Bob Rosses after the Rain its so much better than this

  • bob ross is more relaxing

  • Thank too for allowing me to watch! His painting is wonderful, also your personality. God bless you! I love you!

  • that guy is giving an art a new alter being.

  • welcome...visit GPABSKY.com website for the ARTIST. ty!

  • When he speaks, stuttering slightly, he is the " John Lee Hooker " of painting. Excellent !!

  • Aww, he's adorable. And very talented.

  • I like all your demonstration videos, all are great work.

  • i like both but i think bob is better lol =] peace to both tho

  • Bob Ross was great in a different way. His method spoke to a different generation and a different view of life.

  • couple of new ones up....THANK YOU!!!!!!

  • I like Bob Ross better!!!!

  • I grew up watching Bill Alexander before Bob Ross ever came on the scene. If I remember right, Bill is of German descent. He is an awesome painter.

  • if it werent for bill alexander, there would be no bob ross. he taught bob the wet-on-wet technique.

  • this is someone from arab world ... just to say u r a great person wishing u all the best we love you :)

  • tell me who else could pull off saying the word "there" 6 times in a row and making it sound like a real sentence.....love this guy... you can just see that mr alexander was just born to paint on tv...100% natural... where others are either trying to hard, or are just dull as a doorknob...i am willing to bet his personality rather than his talent enabled him to achieve the success he did with his painting career.. a good lesson to learn from indeed....you dont have to be a michaelangelo.....

  • PLEASE SOMEONE POST MORE!!!!!:)

  • i really like this one bill it looks more real than all your other mountains you got this one spot on,sredit two you

  • Remember the "Mighty White" , a bit amusing coming from someone with the accent...

  • His voice is almost hypnotic....he really was able to make such positive statements and make you believe in yourself & could do anything.....we all miss you Bill...:(

  • "I VIELD THE VAND OF ODEN!!!" Patton Oswald loves this guy!

  • "I love you"? That's something Bob Ross would never say, but Alexander sure has a positive outlook on life, which I admire.

  • when he said "happy ending" ahhh that made me laugh ^_^

    This was really good! :)

  • Sounds like he and bob ross would be good friends.

  • well guess what........

bill alexander was actually bob ross teacher! so they spent alot of time together and i would assume that they became good friends

  • I like the part when he sayed brakit up brak it up.

  • Anybody remember the third As Seen On TV painter guy who dressed up and acted like Gabby Hayes?

  • Was he a floral painter?

  • I don't recall.

  • Bill, on occasion, did floral paintings on his tv shows (as well as still-life paintings, so Mr. Alexander did paint more than just landscapes)

  • Oh I know Bill did more than just landscapes. Bill could paint everything. And he did.

  • You are probably thinking about Jerry Jenkins. He was a floral painter from around the same time as Alexander and Ross. Mid to late 80's. He was always famous to making the leaves on his floral paintings with the "wiggle, wiggle, out" method. He would actually say, in a high pitched voice, "wiggle, wiggle, out". He was very entertaining.

  • @JiveDadson lol Gary Jenkins , he has a new floral show with his wife .

  • I agree with the last guy...I wish he were still with us....Rest well, old friend...

  • Sharp indeed. One must be quite mentally present in order to create such wonderful works of art.

  • Magnificent. A pity his show aired so long ago. I was still an infant when he was in his prime, and just can't find any copies of his shows. Even those that took place later in his life are beyond my grasp.

  • There are many DVD's available.

  • It sounds as if he has come apart alittle mentaly. I wonder what horrors he witnessed in his youth.

  • Bill was much more fun to watch in the early-mid 80's when he was on "Magic of Oil Painting" towards the decade's end his energy level slowed down a notch, although it never really took away from his performances (It's just that as the years progressed, Bill got older, he became more soft-spoken and mellow)

  • Bill was very sharp though passionate about art. He was so moved by art that he wanted all to enjoy and benefit as well. He witnessed plenty of horror in his youth. You can learn about it in his life story.

  • lol, "I love you", I really want to see a whole episode and I can't seem to find one anywhere! :(

  • a happy little painting indeed

  • "happy ending" haha

  • Just BRILLIANT! So inspiring!

  • This must of been the 1st season where we see the silver-haired Bill Alexander.

  • Okay, this guy is officialy the coolest guy ive ever seen in my life.

  • Even before Bob Ross, I watched Bill with his Wet on Wet technigue! I was inspired by the two of them!

  • I loved watching William Alexander with my Uncle Bob, back in the 80's!

    Good Times! and Good Memories!

Fire it In There!!! We Will....We Will....

    Loved him!

  • uncle bob ross?

  • Fire In with that mighty brush Bill. You are the best. Proud to be one of your instructors Check out my tv series dedicated to him

    Jack Kolber ACI 1990 NJ.

  • Bill was awesome. I used to watch him on KOCE back in the 80's... I couldn't paint a picture if my life depended on it, but watching Bill was memorizing. After the show I would just sleep for a couple hours. Almost like a meditation experience. I can still hear the theme music in my head. I wish I could track down a copy of that music. So "uppy" and happy. I miss him.

  • Wow. He was 74 in this video. What year was this show produced?

  • 1989
