My honest opinion is that Lacuna Coil is a pretty good band, but this song is just gloomier in Depeche Mode's performance (and I'm not taking sides, I like both bands about the same amount). Although this version should sound heavier, the uptempo beat they gave this song just kill its deep/dark feeling for me.

I heard a song on the radio which was the awesomest song I ever heard. I've heard it all. I had to listen for the name at the end, DJ mumbled, I was wobbly from wine, all I could make out was Silence. I've been searching. Female lead, perfect imperfection vocal style, a dude in background vocals. I found this a month after. It seemed like it, but didn't. I knew the DM version, didn't connect it. This doesn't whirl around me, but my pc speakers suck. I need to get this and play it on my stereo.
