Interestingly I heard a recording in Boston (Massachusetts not Lincolnshire) where the 4 flats joke came across really well.

If it was so obvious, how come nobody else told me that, since the comment is a year old already? By the way, I do happen to get the joke, he just plays with the meaning of the word "flat", going from a musical term to a building.

But I'm talking about something Victor Borge didn't even notice himself: He first said that the piece had four flats (thus being in A-flat Major, or F minor), and 2 minutes later, when he actually is about to play it, he announces it is in C major.
