  • Victor Borge is awesome, you don't see comdey like this much anymore

  • I feel so cliche in saying this, but how can someone dislike this? Honestly? How? Just curious.

  • Hans Christian Mozart xD

  • A baby mosquito had just returned after his 1st flight

Father Mosquito : So son, how was your adventure?

Son Mosquito : Wow dad is was wonderful! they we're all clapping for me!

And they lived happily ever after

  • when he was talking about the request he got, i immediately thought of billy joel

  • those that would dislike this man's comedy probably doesn't have any idea what humor actually is.

  • "You're from Minneapolis? I'm from Copenhagen, and I was here before you..." OWNED

  • Epic!

  • He is so talented it is amazing.

  • Pure Genious! And the 33 dislikes are what happens when cousins marry!

  • this guy is awesome and funny.

  • 32 people are big fat opera singers

  • It is vital to allow at least 20 minutes before watching Frankie Boyle after this. Otherwise your sense of humor will implode.

  • He is my favorite musician and comedian

  • If Colin Mochrie were a musician... :D

  • Who has put me on Youtube!!

  • Im pretty sure Russel Peters did a performance similar to this. See even Russel Peters needs to copy from the Amazing Borge.

  • "Where the heck is C!?" <3

  • Also from copenhagen but I didn't make :(

  • Thank You very much for posting this. Those 31 who dislike this video have no sense of humour or lack of taste!

  • Amazing video, I've been watching him for most of my life. He is dearly missed! Led a great life and a true class act! Thanks for sharing! This was the concert I had on video

  • This guy makes me proud to be a dane!! :D

  • I agree with the others (although maybe I don't see him as a hunk). My one regret in life is I wasn't around when Victor was. What a gifted and funny man and I love the fact that he can make us laugh without being rude, crude or vulgar.

  • I am proud to be danish

  • "Long time, no C." I almost got a cardiac arrest from laughing.

  • Victor Borge had an exceedingly rare gift -- that is, the gift to make shifting around idly and playing with a microphone into something entertaining and (let's not forget) bloody hilarious.

  • oh my god viktor was a hunk a real stud

  • at 6:10, it looks like he's going to start the piano like a car

  • I like to think that Victor Borge is the Walt Disney of comedians. A great sweet old man. He is fun and missed ;-D

  • I'll wear a tie. The long one... the very long one! hahaha LMAO

  • I'm so glad I was able to see Borge at least once in my life back around 1992-1993. Was a great night.

  • Got to see him one time, Maybe the best concert I went too

  • 31 ppl missed the llike button

  • @91general i mnow. its kinda sad

  • i grew up with my parents quoting this guy, thank you for putting this online! :D

  • victor børge er den bedste man han er så grinern :D

  • "I hope you will enjoy it. And if you don't, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it". I think I found one of my new favorite quotes.

  • I watched Jeff Dunham use that same "welcome to *pulls out card*" just the other day but slightly twisted into something a little different, but the inspiration comes from this none-the-less, goes to show, Victor Borge is amazing.

  • @ridethelightning64 I think it only goes to show that Jeff Dunham's career has taken a nose dive and is resorting to stealing material

  • @atrain118 Well I don't think his career is necessarily nose-diving, but he's out on tour right now so it might show he's becoming desperate for material haha

  • Which concert is this??? I cant find it anywhere.

  • "Mexican Food"

some got the 4 flats joke

  • biggest staller in the universe i just love him.

  • What an absolute delight! Victor was so much fun.

  • this man is incredible. I love humor with instruments and this man was a master at entertaining. Yes, clean humor. There is so much humor in music its unbelievable.

  • "you didn't marked the C!!!"...OMG =D

  • @dinario17

i saw him when he was 91 years old and he changed his wording which I wish I had on tape.

  • Victor borge - The only original danish comedian

  • I grew up watching Victor on TV here in NZ. The whole family loved him.

  • Andrew dice Clay and all those other unfunny guys should watch how its done with no swear words.

  • @serpico56

    WRONG

victor said damn & hell at the last concert i saw him at the age of 91

  • Victor Borge was far and away the funniest human being ever to live. No other comedian on Earth can even come close to what he did. He is sorely missed and we will never, ever forget him. Never.

  • @BritEng1313

    Anna Russell

    I MISS HIM!!

  • "Hans Christian Mozart" ? - oh, he is funny!!!

  • Even though he's not with us anymore,

    His spirit still lives on

  • This fucking guy just kills me. I laughed so hard it made my nose bleed.

Tears in my eyes and piss in my pants.

this guy is funny as HELL:):):).

  • hier heeft hans liberg goed naar gekeken !

  • I miss Victor Borge, his humor was very subtle, but it was one of the greatest acts out there. I miss him so much, there's never been another like him.

  • He reminds me Rowan Atkinson

  • victor borge is a amazing guy, some younger comedians need too watch this man, hes amazing, and not one swear word, jokes are funny, without swear words, hes proving this

  • @davidhaythornthwaite Obsessing over whether someone cussed is even lamer than obsessively cussing.

  • @davidhaythornthwaite was* is* were* is*, but I agree

  • I wish comedians like Victor. Now most of them are vulgar and don't know how to make a joke without swearing.

  • i like when comedians communicate with the audience

  • @YouVRay

    Opera singers

big fat opera singers lean against the piano and bend them

  • @mmlprsh LOL! AND BEND THEM! LOL!!!! I always heard it as some long word that I thought was a part of the piano they lean on.. like the name of that part or something-___-" Thanks!

  • Interestingly I heard a recording in Boston (Massachusetts not Lincolnshire) where the 4 flats joke came across really well.

Anyway its great to see Mr Borge - a rare talent and a beautifully honed act.

  • @crimpo

    yes the 4 flats

    awesome

he had to move 3 times when he wrote it

  • I'm sure there were many Americans who didn't get the "4 flats" joke, because in America we don't call them flats. We call them Apartments. It would work better on a British audience.

  • Oh yeah he is a Dane:D Like me:D

  • Notice he said that the piece had 4 flats... And nobody in the audience reacted when he said it was in C XD

  • @GintsFarodin Haha! "But who cares"

  • thats because the 4 flats was part of the joke :S

  • thats because when he was talking about when mozart wrote it he said it took so long he moved 3 times before he finnished it "in 4 flats"

  • wow I watched this so many times but never noticed that xD

he said it too casually i guess no one really notices xD

  • @YouVRay He was that Subtle.

  • @GintsFarodin obviously you don't get the joke at all.

  • @John19182004

If it was so obvious, how come nobody else told me that, since the comment is a year old already? By the way, I do happen to get the joke, he just plays with the meaning of the word "flat", going from a musical term to a building.

But I'm talking about something Victor Borge didn't even notice himself: He first said that the piece had four flats (thus being in A-flat Major, or F minor), and 2 minutes later, when he actually is about to play it, he announces it is in C major.

  • @GintsFarodin what do you get when you drop a piano on a military base? >.> A-flat major :P haha... band humor ftw

  • @alexman1331

    HAHHAHA!! EPIC xD

  • @alexman1331 What do you get when you drop a piano down a mine shaft?

    A-flat miner >.<

The miner's had better C-sharp so they won't B-flat in the future

  • @LKC9215 Please don't make me come over there and hurt you. *He said while trying not to laugh.*

  • @alexman1331 *miners

  • hilarious

  • Haha xD

  • 1st. standup comedian in the world? present day standups owe him alot!

  • Love Victor Borge- very funny man. The Great Dane indeed!

  • It owns everybody else!

  • eh? O.o

  • Victor Borge is a legend

  • i love it. he is soo funny

    :D:D

  • i wuv himmmmm sooooooo much

  • jokes with class... hard to find these days lol

but he is great... wish there were more video of him....

  • Funny for all who get the jokes ;-)

  • Funny for everyone!

  • 7:55

    hillarious!

  • Im from Copenhagen like Victor Borge - and everytime I watch him perform, im proud of being a dane.......

  • ja han da bare mega sjov

  • what does negi negi mean?

  • onion

  • Maybe I'm an idiot, but I really don't get it.

  • Earlier in the show he had told the audience what "negi" meant

  • negi is onion. negi negi i two onions ^^

  • yeah i now but i pressed enter to fast sry

  • lol kk :D ;D

  • @bombmaster16

  • My, WTF?? =Stefan=

  • TIS GUY IS GREAT!

  • Old kent

  • long time no c!

  • love dane cook and love this guy!

  • although i also love dane cook,

this guy canNOT be compared to him.

Victor Borge is MUCH better :)

  • This tops most of the more recent acts Im finding on youtube great watch

  • I wonder what the common Dane Cook fan would think of the Great Dane?

  • i personally love them both :)

  • Copenhagen.

  • Absolutely hilarious

  • He's just a true entertainer...genius!!

  • I adore Victor Borge. His comedic genius was truly one-of-a-kind!

  • THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!

  • I had the privilege of seeing him live in my home town you have no idea how brilliant he is

  • pardon me pardon me....

  • very long one heheh

  • What was he saying when somebody came in at the beginning?

  • he's saying pardon me.

  • Borge is awesome...really awesome. Funny and clean are so uncommon today.

  • He wrote it in 4 flats........ and it's in the key of c (which has no flats) lol

  • He wrote it in 4 flats because he moved 3 times while he was writing it (flat=apartment in the UK)

  • @LindemanProductions you don't get the joke, it has nothing to do with music - "Flats" means apartments in this case.. it took him so long to write it he had to move 3 times, so it was written in 4 flats.

  • "ive always been asked to play something straight" haha xD

  • If he played straight (for reals) it wouldn't be him!

  • Wow. He is one of the few comedians I know that don't say words like...you know...

He's very polite regarding his humorous ways. :D

  • Yeah, sometimes I feel like a few of the teenagers of today would find him dull. But I think he's mostly for those who aren't particular with their comedy. And boy does he ever bring all types of comedy into his act!

  • Anyone who would ever conceive of Mr. Borge being dull has no comedic taste.

  • Or they are vulgar.

  • A classic for ALL time!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Long time no C - and I can't stand sitting - play something straight.

    Damn funny?

  • a courteous gentleman

  • They don't make them like this any more! Isn't it wonderful to have a real comic without smut, profanity (especially the use of Lord's name in vain) - just with a brilliant use of timing, musical genius and spontaneity. Borge was the best.

  • Yup. a goddanm hell of a show!

  • Victor Borge was a sweetheart of a man. =)

  • Holy crap, I think I may have been AT this performance!

..or else it was the same one as on that videotape they sold all the time by TV commercials in the late 80's/early 90's.

  • haha

  • The racist factor is apreciated, but it's not really funny.

  • I come from kopenhagen, and i was here before you.....

    Funny man.

Never saw this man before , but i will search for more.

    He is great!!

  • why do the finest detectives hide in there bed?

    because they work undercover!

    lol

  • completely random...

  • I was lucky enough to once see my countryman, Victor Borge, perform.

Victor Borge always played the wonderful sounding Austrian Bösendorfer piano. The 180year old company have sadly been acquired by Yamaha.

  • Oh man, I know this by heart!

  • "long time, no C"

  • after a while when he puts his fingers on the keys then just gets up again, by the third time i was thinking hrry up and play the damn piano. Funny last straight joke though..

  • XD "Where the heck is C? You din't mark the C!"

  • Long time no C XDDDD

  • I've got this video!

  • Whats it called, where did you get it?

  • omg dude that was a long time ago but I can look it up for ya?

  • It was actually called "The Best of Victor Borge parts 1&2". That's the actual title of the concert.
