They wanted a stronger, heavier feel to their music, and they got it. They use bluesy melodies and rhythms and turn it into metal. They aren't better, or worse, they're different.

I'm not a huge fan of st. anger, don't really like death magnetic, but I love some of the songs on load/reload. Master/justice are probably my favorites. But to just call the new albums "commercial" or to even think that's a reason to dislike music is just childish and hipster..
