No, I do not think Ron Paul will become president even though I'd wish him to be. I also don't believe I have to get exactly what I want, or the entire effort is without merit. This is really an educational movement rather than a bid for presidency, and I support that whole heartedly.

He's already been re-elected to congress to my understanding this week (this video is from February), as for the delegates, nobody has any real idea who belongs to who; every news station has different numbers. The RP2008 site has RP delegates leaving comments citing numerous cases where they are actually the majority in many places; McCain's delegates are lazy while Ron Paul's have retained their organization. It's a small hope, but I'm crossing my fingers anyway.

He's not going to get offered a VP spot and he's risking losing his Congressional seat as well. I say refocus on his Congressional run.

As a Utah voter, Ron Paul didn't stand a chance against Romney ... who pulled 90% of the votes. Even with a recount, it wasn't going to make a difference. HOWEVER, at least in Utah... ALL of Romney's delegates are currently UP FOR GRABS, which has added a new energy to our already voted state supporters.
I hope you all are organizing in your precincts. Ron Paul could still give McCain big heartburn if he has enough delegates at the convention. No, I do not think Ron Paul will become president even though I'd wish him to be. I also don't believe I have to get exactly what I want, or the entire effort is without merit. This is really an educational movement rather than a bid for presidency, and I support that whole heartedly.

He's already been re-elected to congress to my understanding this week (this video is from February), as for the delegates, nobody has any real idea who belongs to who; every news station has different numbers. The RP2008 site has RP delegates leaving comments citing numerous cases where they are actually the majority in many places; McCain's delegates are lazy while Ron Paul's have retained their organization. It's a small hope, but I'm crossing my fingers anyway.

He is a Pennsylvania native. I do agree he should have stopped running weeks ago, but he's not 'from' Texas. I'm a supporter, but I don't understand the point of staying in at this point. He's not going to get offered a VP spot and he's risking losing his Congressional seat as well. I say refocus on his Congressional run.

The truth is that there are a lot of hurdles that third parties face, but in the immediate sense it would have been nice if Paul had run as a third party. But the truth is that a) He would not have gotten enough votes to become POTUS as 3rd Party b) It would have sent a message to the GOP that they can just right his brand of conservatism off. You can lose the election but win in the end.

As a Utah voter, Ron Paul didn't stand a chance against Romney ... who pulled 90% of the votes. Even with a recount, it wasn't going to make a difference. HOWEVER, at least in Utah... ALL of Romney's delegates are currently UP FOR GRABS, which has added a new energy to our already voted state supporters.

I hope you all are organizing in your precincts. Ron Paul could still give McCain big heartburn if he has enough delegates at the convention. McCain has been in this business for a long time, but his organization is weak and has no real leadership to take the nomination to the bank. Especially if RP's organization gets the delegates to the convention in large numbers. So, you have to be organized at the local level to have any impact at the state level. Good luck.

McCain was going nowhere before MSM began reporting the polls showed McCain and Huckabee winning in the state caucuses held in Iowa, New Hampshire and the Feb.
