Wow, that's some serious penetration. you can see it hit right behind the shoulder, bounce off the ground and kick up into the scrub. arrow didn't looked like it even started to slow down until it hit the ground on the other side. congrats.

No he nailed it right behind the shoulder it just appeared to miss because the feathers are all you can see on the camera and they are higher than the deer because of the angle.You can see a red dot appear just behind the deers shoulder blade. Right in the old boiler room. Nice shooting !!

dont worry about the poundage. go to your local archery shop and get his bow cronographed. if its shootin around 150 or better it's good, that being said you can take a watermelon and wrap it in two layers of denim and if the bow can get into the the middle of the watermelon it'll kill a deer

in most states 45 is the min for deer hunting however, 40 would drop a deer no problem

That is a barb wire fence, meant to keep cattle in a certain area. Deer cross these fences daily....I am assuming she was over there because that is where she came from??

in my state they have a bonus doe quota plus the regular state quota...I can kill the state limit of 3 does and 1 buck, plus the bonus antlerless quota of 8 does in my county for a total of 12 deer

It's probably Texas-Given the oak tree in the background and the red dirt(probably S.West Texas) In addition the guys sounds like a redneck so it has to be Texas. In Texas you can kill does. In fact in many states you can kill does. Simply because humans have killed wolves, mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats, etc etc there are not enough predators to keep the poulation in check so man must do in now because he killed all the predators. Natures cycle was very balanced till we fucked it up:)

It really varies state to state, even county to county in which states are broken up into. Some seasons are any deer, buck only, or even antler restrictions such as the deer must have atleast X amount of points on its "headgear".
