Saute' that kale in Olive Oil and Garlic. Some Italians might add some anchovie, which is what I do.
I just tried Stonehaven for the first time, this past week. I get a dark chocolate tin aroma. Only 2 bowls so far, so still figuring it out.
I've never tried Mardeira. I do like to try wines, but unfortunately I have a very comfort level when it comes to wines. Perhaps you can send me a PM with a recommendation?
Thank you for the mention, Dan, I'll try to find that pine-resin flavor, most interesting! I have one friend I drink madeira with, heard George Washington drank a pint a day so it's good enough for me.
@harjoeric Ahh....for sakes, harjo. I mention you in an effort to conjure your presence here on the 'tube. Cuz, you know...Bruno and I get a bit sad when you aren't around. And a good Mardeira is *impossibly* interesting. I don't understand why it isn't more popular, say, like single malt scotch whisky.
@hampshirepipe That mana mana is actually from an Italian movie in the late 60's. And more than a bit risqué, so it's kind of funny that the music is much more widely known for its association with the Muppets. All the same, always good for a chuckle.
Good to see you eating healthy...lol..Your videos always make me smile and brighten up my day :-)) Books in the microwave :-) I wonder what's in the fridge..hehe. I'd subscribe again if I could to make it 100. I liked the idea of comparing the tastes of Stonehaven to savouring wine...sometimes I think quite a lot of appreciating tobacco blends is similar to wine tasting in terms of how hard it is to articulate tastes..also I sometimes compare the character of tobaccos to types of music :P
Hmm... I don't really know about the "inner light". Well, it's anyway nothing I come across up here where I live. LatakiaJens in Denmark might see things differently... they have all kinds of special lights down there.
We disposed of our MW a couple of years ago. It was easier then having to wear tin-foil hats all the time.
@Flieger671 That Jens, he knows all sorts of things that I will never have a firm grasp on. I'd love to see one of your foil hats. I was in IKEA the other day and thought of you. Maybe Jens was refering to Swedish Meatballs and lingonberries?
@OTooleRules Hmm... for the right amount I might be persuaded to wear a foil hat in my next video. IKEA - I'm actually one of the few men here in Sweden who likes to visit that place. I'm not sure dear Jens knows anything about Swedish meatballs though... Here we just call them "meatballs" of course... and I prefer mine with mashed potatoes, cream sauce and ketchup. They may not give inner light, but they are darn good.
@RequiemPipes Well, I am headed your way in June, so I am going to investigate this ginginha stuff. I think my microwave may be connected to Bruno's toaster, so be careful if he ever offers you a slice of toast and jam.
Estotericadans...Kale Yeah! haha, and just imagine all that fiber...ummm good. Love that secret book case lol. Maybe good for stashing the jewelry too. I'll have to try some wine tonight with a bowl of Stonehaven, (usually a scotch for pipes.) Wondering if you had smoked Penzance in that pipe your using for the Red Rap.? I get a big hint of the oily cedar note from that.
@astroman2112 It's an estate pipe that I am using, so I was wondering if it was the ghost of a former owner. I, myself, am just gonna smoke Red Rap in it. That said, I am curious to see if I keep finding that pine in RR. My but we are some spoiled MOFO's with all our stonehaven. Well, easy come, easy go, I guess. Stay cool, brah!
Fantastic description of Stonehaven and its comparison to the wine, very well put. all this talk is giving me a craving for some Stoney and a glass of with.. he he he I love Red Rapp its a fantastic smoke I simply love the orientals sweetness and smoothness of the latakia. Congrats on the BS score
@Daftlilly1 You shouldn't have to wait too much longer. I am about to crack my next pack. Can one ship "hobby supplies" to the land of Maple Trees, William Shatner and Geddy Lee?
@OTooleRules Sounds super duper I have not ever hade any problems with sending or recieving "hobby supplies" I get tons of mail order tobacco sent here..
@Milverton68 I've yet to smoke mine, just been smelling and dreaming and admiring my good fortune, for a yank, that is. Gosh you folk on the sceptered isle sure are lucky beyond all get out. Thanks for stopping by, SB!

All microwaves are connected to the CIA, it's a well known fact in certain circles.
About Stonehaven, I have a word for you: ginginha. It smells exactly like it and I'm convinced that's what it's cased with.
Manana to you too.
Cheers
G.
