this is a game for 15 and younger mainly becuase the games biggest downfall is that you have to make your own fun, if you go around just doing the basic missions you will never have any fun what so ever.

wow a game that doesn't have you "shooting prostitutes" will need the users imagination, but really, you do not have to be under 15 to have a little creativity.

I use it for the building sets, not the main story. For me, the main story is a little tacked add on.

Yes Mac's are technically PC's although for marketing they try to set apart their product from all others. Just like an iPod, it is technically an Mp3 player but they want to set that aside so that their product is more unique.

it's only because there are some keys on a "PC" you won't find on a Mac and vice versa. Also, the mice are different for each. If it wasn't for that then games would be made without variation.

Was fun the first playthrough - well sort of fun but hugely repetitive and grindy. After first run it sucks though as it is WAY too simplistic and ha no science.

dw they wont make any difference at all eventually. after creature stage (which btw wont take more than 30 minutes) the creature's biology would make no difference at all. After civilisation stage (another 30 minutes) vehicles will also become obsolete. The game then just becomes a bunch of space errands.

frankly, this isnt supposed to be played like a regular game. your not supposed to get through each stage in just 30 mins. you need to take your time and enjoy it for it to be any type of fun whatsoever

Sounds like it's a great game though for casual gamers. I don't wanna think too hard when I am playing a game... I want to laugh and enjoy what I am doing. It's a good wind down to my day. It's also great for people who haven't played ridiculous amounts of other games either. I love the Sim games, and I am sure I will enjoy this one.

Wow, that video review sold me on NOT getting this game, besides the DRM problems which made me wary. If the game is simply a mindless clickfest with its only real feature being how your creature looks (because no matter what you make, you do the same stuff), I don't really see the point. $60 to join a community? I'll just join a forum for free.

I got it today (yay) been playing it lots. My laptop is at the bottom of the requirments but the game still plays well.

The ONE annoying thing, is that the game crashes every hour or two, apperently I'm not the only one with this problem, I really hope they fix this and other little problems soon.

Yes you get the option to stay in one stage if you wish, although in my opinion Spore is "better then the sum of it's parts", a single stage is not nearly enticing enough for me to buy it, but combined with the editors and other stages all together it's great.

Beware buyers, unless you want to deal with DRM hell, which is what everyone's talking about how horrible it to just get the stupid thing to legitimately work. And it's resale value is basically zero because of DRM. I will never pay money for this horrifically crippling game.

Spore has a great idea, but the gameplay isn't really that great..The whole game consists of several eras, which can be described as a very simple minigames, none of which are REALLY well made.

They could have done SOO much a lot more with this concept.I guess they will in the future..You know, just like Sims, add random shit every half a month and get their 20$ from every person.WAAY more profitable than releasing an awesome game..

Minmimum was 2.0 ghz to run the game, but i'm playing the game with a 1.5 ghz processor (5 years old)and a nvdiia 5600fx with out-dated drivers (ancient). This game still owns any civ or sim game. Cuz it still looks good

I'm sorry to say this, but I have the game right now and the game (especially the creature stage) slightly differs from the shown beta. It has more or less been simified, where in the creature phase, you eat other creatures or communicate with them using a minigame "simon-says" style. It IS also quite repetitive and has an unlockables "fetish". If you do not mind these things though and the slight lack of things shown in the betas, like dragging a carcas or resizing cities, then I would say buy!
