  • This is cool! I wonder if someone could get a collection of these things, mount them on a stand of some sort and incorporate them into a drum set? It would be cool to play them with sticks or xylophone/bells/marimba mallets.

  • I have a set of these, they are easily bent/warped. Hitting them against something very hard, or hitting them very hard WITH something is not advised. And as a side note, the absolute best resonance is achieved when stricking your head with them.

  • Thanks for your comment. The Boomwhacker Choir uses soft towels placed on the tables to avoid warping. I agree that hitting them hard with something would probably warp them more quickly. And yes, the best resonance does seem to be achieved by striking your head, but with a choir that would be difficult to do without the students accidentally hitting each other! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
