Also, I would like to point out the fact that many words in the English language have multiple meanings, retard being one of them. A "mentally retarded" person is one who scores lower than average on an IQ test. To retard a process means to slow that process down. When you call a person retarded, I'm almost cartain you're not calling them "slowed down."

It's crazy what words you can't use to describe the disabled. IMO, some of the politically correct words that they use are more offensive than the term, retarded. Heck I know a business in my region that specializing in mental health and uses the term, "Mental Retardation" in their business.
