  • I know Floyd Radford and I jammed with him at a party recently and he told me that he only played lead on one song on the White Trash album and that Derringer played the solo on Keep Playin that Rock nRoll

  • It's definitely Rick Derringer on the solo for "Keep Playin' That Rock & Roll"! That's his style & I know that anywhere! If you doubt it, look on the inner sleeve of the CD. Yes, Floyd is great guitarist as well & plays most of the guitar on White Trash, but Rick Derringer is in fact credited for playing ALL of the guitar on "Keep Playin' That Rock & Roll" & the solo only on "Good Morning Music". Floyd does all of the other solos.

  • re guitar solo - I know it's Rick D - It's not Floyds style - plus I've heard a lot of his leads - rick and floyd are nothing alike style or lick wise!

  • I am into that stuff!!! check out my demos at my handle... Do you like Frank Marino ??

  • Bludrums - thanks for the comment. More people should hear the old Rick Derringer and Johnny Winter stuff. Glad I have it all!

  • Sir; I don't give out compliments often but you be one Bad Man!!Tight in the pocket and smooth grove! Its been years since I've heard anyone play those tunes. I use to rock out Winter and Derringer and I think I might see about adding a few of those tunes to our set list! Peace

  • Anyone doing Derringer gets a thumbs up! Nice Job!

  • 2nd tune is one Edgar Winter has always played in concert, Keep Playing that Rock & Roll - fun bassline, nice guitar solo by Rick Derringer. Using the Silvertone bass again.

  • Yes and no. Rick has played Keep Playin' That Rock and Roll with Edgar in concert many times, but in this recording, from Edgar's original White Trash album, the lead guitar was played by Floyd Radford. This is not to take anything away from Rick. He's a great guitarist too. I just felt I had to set the record straight because Floyd gave us one of the most memorable guitar solos ever, and he's rarely given credit for it.

  • This is a 1st take mistakes and all. Sorry about the quality. Sometimes I use a pick, sometimes fingers. Depends on the tune or if my right hand is thrashed from playing too much Volleyball.
