Fuel pump?? That's not the fuel pump - the fuel pump is what you hear when you turn the key before you start it - that is gear whine baby - think gear drive timing on a race car verses a belt or chain - quality, precision is what you hear in that sound - won't hear that sound on a Harley!
And while it is a heavy bike (~725lbs) it really is well balanced and doesn't feel that heavy. Part of that is a relatively low center of gravity so you don't have to use a lot of strength to keep it upright when standing still.

really pleased some one had the good sense to leave the bike idling so i can hear what it sounds like, thanks, greta bike and i have made my mind up over other cruisers to get one.
These are not the stock mufflers, they are Raask pipes. The bike does not feel heavy at all, though it is in fact a heavy bike. The bike is balanced well and is easy to maneuver. Of course the only way to know if it's right for you is to go test ride one.

Boy, you can really hear the fuel pump whine.
