It's always wonderful to see Doris Packer! My fave role of hers was, of course, "Mrs. Rayburn" on "Leave it to Beaver". She was both the :dream: school principal and 8th Grade teacher!
I believe she was one of the best supporting characters in late 50's and early 60's TV shows. I loved her on Leave it to Beaver, Beverly Hill Billy's and Dobie Gills. Thanks for having her on You Tube
Doris was a fine character actor. Her delivery was flawless, as was FAR more common back 30~40 years ago than the crap-actors on TV today. I admire her style!!!
Yes, she was wonderful...... These crap actors should be made to watch her performances and take lessons from them! But she had something many of them don't have, and that is character.
Such an asset of an undeniable character whenever before the camera. I really loved her. Her true personality always came through.
BTW.............. What a time. Sadly, no more.

She was my 2nd grade art teacher at W L Cabell in Dallas Tx. It was around the time she was in the movie Shampoo. She was a very cool teacher.

That's sooooo freaky!!
And.. I forgot that she had a small part in Shampoo [1975]. It was her last movie {tears}. Regrettably, she died in 1979.

She also appeared in a VERY touching 1965 episode of "MY FAVORITE MARTIAN", as a teacher finding herself being "forced" to retire...

One of her most priceless roles was as the Widow Fenwick on the Beverly Hillbillies. The episode, Elly needs a Maw, is a classic.
Anything she was in was better for having her in it.
