I've been playing all over the world with a few Grammy award winning artist and your lessons will make me a better keyboardist. I plan to get the entire lesson
Very cool video. I'm commenting per your request. I think showing us creative ways to revoice chords is a fantastic idea. Perhaps showing how you can reharmonize and use different chords for replacements would also be good to show. Such as replacing major root with the 3 minor add 9.
If you're an aspiring piano or keyboard player learning on your own, the complete course this genius offers at playpianotoday is the best money you'll ever spend!!! WOW!!! 5 stars!!! Thanks Mr. Sprunger!!!
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE these lessons and the way you teach them! It's like my whole view on the world spreads out and my face lightens up each and every single time I press play, because I hear so much more than just music: I hear ENTHUSIASM, I hear LOVE, WARMTH, I hear BEAUTY! Thank you so much for all these! :)
Great instruction. I am hopeful to make the jump from the initial series into the voicings. I am understanding the basic voicing spreads, but am still trying to put it all together with general chord changes. I truly appreciate all the work you have put into this for all of us trying to learn. It is all a great help.
Beautiful stuff. I'm self taught, and have been using open chord voicing for years but not knowing what it was I was doing. I'm going to your website right now!
I really love your videos and hope you could post more.. I am using a lot of open voicing in my music and someone even came up to me and said my playing was phat lol.
Thanks a lot man for teaching us the secrets of those grand chords. I'm sure I will incorporate this into my songs, as well as many others will! God bless you.
Very nice Tutorial! You successfully simplificate the system and open it for us. Once one has got it, it's a pleasure to try and even find out more by transferring it into other peaces. Thanks for that! :)

I have David Sprungers whole series CD's. I have started them and had to stop (move) had to leave piano behind. However, he is one of the best teachers that I have come across. I really think ur an amazing player and i just found you this morning and i've been doing nothing but practice. I didn't know anything about this so thank you very very much.
This was an amazing lesson! I'm getting so much out of it. I've never really understood two handed (phat) voice chords, but now I'm starting to get the gist of it.
OK... I've never taken a piano lesson in my life. 40years old. And I can now sit down and make some beautiful sounds playing piano. The thing I notice is I can choose 3 chords and play for a while only changing patterns, rhythm and volume. Awesome thank you, thank you.
It's truly a gift to enjoy absorbing such appealing information to assist us; enhance our abilities which fortifies a deeper love for music. Thank you so very much for sharing. Very impressive indeed! Tim
you're amazing...but I really didn't understand...I tried to play a d over a c M9 like you di but it doesn't sound good...it just seems a strange chord...maybe this lesson would be even better with precise licks thaught note per note
its nice to know that there are free lessons here,i know how to play the chord pattern,i studied it myself coz its expensive to study in a formal school, most of the music im playing are widowed.i just listen to the music and i play it,i hope there will be more free videos posted,i really want to improve...i would be so greatfull if i can learn more....thanks,and Godbless....
i get the idea, but there way too many of the same note. How do you know when to hit the low or high one in a good pattern which well make it all work together like how you play it?
Sure... seriously next level piano stuff compared to other things on youtube. Excellent in every way including the voice delivering the lesson, bright, knowledgeable, engaging. Thanks.
OK, this is exactly what I've been searching for. As a - play by ear - guy for 20 years I've been wanting desperately to open up my sound, incorporate that jazz feel and voice that I love so much and man...this is IT! I will be getting your lessons 4 sure. Thank you, thank you, thank you and God bless you richly for this work.
I liked what I saw. I am a beginner on piano, but play guitar. I am looking around at different products before I purchase a full lesson package to see which ones seem to be better suited for me.
Great lesson so i can apply it to my bass playing.

you're amazing...but I really didn't understand...I tried to play a d over a c M9 like you di but it doesn't sound good...it just seems a strange chord...maybe this lesson would be even better with precise licks thaught note per note

i get the idea, but there way too many of the same note. How do you know when to hit the low or high one in a good pattern which well make it all work together like how you play it?

Sure... seriously next level piano stuff compared to other things on youtube. Excellent in every way including the voice delivering the lesson, bright, knowledgeable, engaging. Thanks.

I liked what I saw. I am a beginner on piano, but play guitar. I am looking around at different products before I purchase a full lesson package to see which ones seem to be better suited for me.
