I am a medical professional who works with autistic children. Both in controlled facilities and their homes. I also have asthma. But I actually agree with what he's trying to say. I agree with savage on quite a few issues but i have to say that he is completely wrong about this. I have Aspergers myself and it isn't something i can help. Its taken me years to try and reduce some of the symptoms I experience and i don't think that i'll ever be able to overcome them. Trying to 'cure' someone of autism is about as futile as dissuading a cat from its inclination for mice.

The doctors first placed me into a small tub, containing ice cubes and lukewarm water, just to drop the initial temp., then moved me into the oxygen tent, much like something on E.T., oxygen mask and all.

The children there who have a multitude of issues, autism being one of them. I agree with savage on quite a few issues but i have to say that he is completely wrong about this. I have Aspergers myself and it isn't something i can help. Its taken me years to try and reduce some of the symptoms I experience and i don't think that i'll ever be able to overcome them. Trying to 'cure' someone of autism is about as futile as dissuading a cat from its inclination for mice.

Do I agree with what he's saying here? Mostly no. I'd say he's wrong, and hasn't researched the topic. Obviously there are a lot of kids with mental illness, possibly caused by complications at child birth. Autism isn't a fraud.
