I can hit about 1400 everytime but if I try as hard as I can, I once got a 1700.

Well, this is the Japanese version, which means it's in meters. 728.6m = 2390.4ft, so he's actually doing around 1000 more than you do usually.

im pretty mixed about the new hrc. in melee, the awesome strats not only were distancey, but also sweet in appearance, like all the link and young link melee hrcs. but in this one, im glad ill be able to get a high distance finally(in melee i averaged about 750 ft. some over 1000 none under 500 but some below 550) but i dont think ill see as many sweet strats this time around.

No. If you hit Sandbag too hard, the barrier breaks and it flies away.
