For those of us in our 50's, which were dosed with far too much television as we grew up, have the results, from the musical geneousVic Mizzy, embedded in the deep recesses of our minds. I have a great CD of his most famous movie and TV themes I copied to an MP3 player and I find Mizzy's themes bring about a feel good quality like no other. Mizzy's themes bring back very clearly memories of a very happy childhood. Movies like the Don Knotts film, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken come to mind.

I saw the addams family musical last night and as soon as they started playing the this music in the show, everyone was cheering and snapping/clapping along. It's such an amazing piece of music. It's gotta be one of the most well known theme songs of all time.

Just another part of what made 1960s tv so great was he. They have no tallents of his ability to write a theme song today, if they went for one.

RIP Vic Mizzy. Yet another musically creative genius passes away. The Addams Family theme is one of those timeless theme songs that you can just instantly remember.
