Ollie is a dragon. If you watched the show frequently enough you'd occasionally hear him addressed as Oliver Dragon.

@myway43 Ollie is just a puppet of a person---Kukla means doll in Russian, and also in Greek, but it is spelled Koukla in Greek.

Great stuff and so (dare I say it) Cosmopolitan...pity todays families are stuck with ugly animation and unimaginative dull kid shows...ah,well..thx for putting this clip on. Wonderful!
