I am having some trouble with my skin tones I have a skin tone that is Red: 230 Green: 227 Blue: 153 Hue: 39 Sat: 140 Lum: 180 but my skin tone is too fake for my liking. What numbers would you reccomend for Peach color skin White skin Coccasion Skin African American Skin

those numbers make a light yellowish color right? i found that Hue: 20-25 makes a good peachish color. then your Sat and Lum are in good places though. for lighter skins i would suggest raising the Sat value a bit and for darker skins i would suggest lowering the sat value.

Not bad. When I do pixel art, I just use the pencil tool though. I find it difficult to use the curve tool in such small spaces, but that's just me.

it's the line tool ;) i like it cause it works like the pencil only it's a little less messier IMO

after some prectice, the pencil is a snap though. i dont use MS paint btw, i use Paint Shop pro

How do you know where to put the shadows and such? I always fail at that point. Is it just trial and error?

uff this is always a toughf bit to explain. what you gotta do is figiour out where the light source is and then the shadows are opposite of that and the shine is close to the ligth. if not search google they'd probably explain it better then i can

Yeah, it seems complicated. I used to draw with pencils in earlier days and knew where to apply shades and so on. But in a program it's somehow more difficult.
