This is one example when hip hop was at its prime...Goodie Mob, Parental Advisory, Outkast and the entire south was underrated then. I do miss those golden days...Hip Hop today is nothing but some piece of sh*t going down the toilet, except for T.I. & Rick Ross...I only give props to the legend of the south...You should know what I'm talking about.
Thomas DeCarlo Callaway is still amazing. i discovered him first then tracked him back to this...i think more people need to be doin what they do instead of complaining about everything.
Your rhetoric says it all. You're a "lil white girl." That means wigger. You listen to this, again solidifying the fact that you're a wigger. Then "I LOVE THIS SHIT." Cussing and with caps lock on. So you're loud and stupid. In conclusion, you're a loud, stupid wigger whose entire mindset and personality revolve around MTV trends, and thus worshiping niggers.
Oh, and wigger, don't tell me I'm calling every black person a nigger, because I'm not calling every white person a wigger.
timeless shit here. If ya`ll get da time can ya`ll give my channel a spin. Got some solid material on there more to come. Tryna be da next southern legend
Is it so hard for mainstream rappers to make 3 or 4 crappy club or radio songs and fill the rest of the record with the good FLB. At least attempt to make one good song, most of these guys today can't even make one good song.
I grew up on outkast and goodie mob. I use to miss the school bus on purpose just so that I could walk to and jam the whole CD before I got to school. Please Please make another dungeon family cd. and rid the rap game of all the bullshit that's out now. That shit that's on tv and radio's that's not real......it's about as real as a three dollar bill.
What's the racist crap for? Why are you even watching the video? I'm a white punk rocker and I'm a fan of goodie mob and pretty much everything cee lo has ever done.. I'm also from the south and love some soul food.. so fuck you Kakorot77

GOODIE MOB & OUTKAST PUT ATL ON THE MAP; AND DONT LET ANYBODY TELL YOU DIFFERENT.....Damn i miss the old Atlanta.
@sedcdf Cee Lo is remarkable. If you listen to verses on songs, his messages are insane. Im listening to still standing album, and messages on Insallah and others are just insane. Timeless words and messages
@sedcdf underrated? quite possibly; but "of all time?"......not so much. For every generation of artists - by artists I mean RAW multi-faceted talent - there's always those who go against the grain and mainstream's inabliity to control and direct them leads to them being virtual outcasts. Only their true blue listeners keep them out there and that has worked pretty well for people like Cee-Lo because I promise you there are others in his category who aren't as lucky.Cee-lo is past 'sing & rap.'
@bassthumper bro i was just about to say the same thing, went to a foreign exchange show earlier this year and shit was crackin, good to see someone appreciate Phonte and little brother.
@tech4441 Soul is just a black persons pet name for things that are shitty. A white, mexican or chinese would be like oh got that food sucks, blacks are like that's just the way soul food is baby. (White person) Make that horrible singing stop (Black person) oh you just ain't got soul. I don't think it's coincidence that SHITLINGS IS SOUL FOOD.
@parsleysprigs You might wanna do some research on where soul food came from. It came from slaves getting the scraps that the whites didn't want to eat. That's a simplified version, but do some research.
@parsleysprigs Why do Mexican Americans still eat Mexican food? It's part of their culture. And for the record, I'm black. And trust me, its far from shitty.

It was this track that made Tupac sit up n invite these guys over to Cali to record with him in summer '96. Check out the video on youtube ("studio sessions"), it's a serious throwback to a lost era....
I remember this song when it cme out back in the 90's.These guys were one of the first southern rap groups that made it big.Come and get your soul food .
The song was the sih back in the day, but Cee-Lo put this song on blast! His verses the ones that everybody felt. A listener has to go deep when listening to this song, but his verses (while deep themselves), are also easy to understand. Love that about him! Still though, this was my song back in the day. Goddie MoB, there will never be another rap group like them:|
me my self im a 32 year old white man from west palm beach florida and i gre wup listening to goodie mob, outkast, bun b., mjg etc etc and there aint nothing like old skool southern hip hop, rap these days dont have that feel like the ole skool does, this song was my all time favorite by goodie it brings me back to getting fresh to death before going to middle skool, and it gives me that euphoric feeling inside like i could spend the rest of my life just listening to old skool rap from the south

Dirty south got killed by gangsta rap. That's a dam shame too because rap groups like goodie mob and outkast made quality music.

I remember this kid I know was trying to explain to me how they thought Hip Hop wasn't music. I told them that I know a few albums that makes a statement like that disrespectful to a culture, and utterly ignorant. Soul Food was one of em...
I listen to all music. People should be diverse, because if you listen to everything you don't have a bias. Hip Hop Lives

It was this track that made Tupac sit up n invite these guys over to Cali to record with him in summer '96. Check out the video on youtube ("studio sessions"), it's a serious throwback to a lost era....
