Dobies have the intelligence of a 3 year old child. They also have a couple hundred word vocabulary. Their sight, sound and smell senses are incredible. I owned 2 at a time both male and female. Once you own a Cadillac "Doberman" You do not go back to a Ford Escort "Any other breed"

@SIipknoTl Well I hate to tell you that you know very little about dobermans... You do NOT have to hit them to get them to do what you are asking of them. I hope you never get your hands on a doberman Ever again- any breed for that matter.
@SaliMarley To really answer your question, no, dobermans are not dumb infact they are in the top 5 of the smartest Dog Breeds in the world. They are not a breed for everyone, they love their people and require love, attention and a lot of patience. Just a note for anyone considering this wonderful breed, Do your homework, research not only about the breed but good breeders as well.
