Because "sexual tension" was the original subplot of "JEANNIE", 'Harmony'. If you see the series from the very beginning, you'll note that, even though Tony is comfortable about Jeannie "living" in his house, he doesn't want her to do anything for him or interfere in his professional (and personal) life. Sure, he cares for Jeannie, but he insists on handling things HIS way- including his professional and "love" life. She knows better...this is an "actual episode".

In the first half of the episode [not seen here], when he told Tony about the girl he met in the NASA parking lot {of course, "Master" doesn't know it's Jeannie yet}, he describes a three-part "battle plan" [that Tony helps suggest!] he intends to use on her after they wind up in his apartment {listening to his record collection, "simpatico", etc.}.

That IS the original theme, 'pnava', by Richard Wess, used during the first {black & white} season. Producer Sidney Sheldon eventually decided a new theme and score {and a slight change in the title sequence} was needed for season two, and got Hugo Montenegro to write the one we know today. This episode, the first filmed after Barbara's recuperation after giving birth to Matthew Michael Ansara that August, was filmed in October, and aired on December 4, 1965.
