Hannan is learned man with the power to argue things on the merits of free republican principles much like the Thomas Jefferson and the founders here in the US did in our founding documents here. Liberals there and here wither in any debate with one so knowledgeable who can lay the weight of pinpointed free republican truths upon them.
In Canada, Our Constitution clearly states that there will be ONE Parliament for Canada. I assume the UK Constitution says something similar no? In Canada our Government does not even legally have the power to offer a referendum that is based off a question that is Unconstitutional. A referendum is an ACT and they have no power to act to dissolve the Canadian Parliament.. Any agitation to do as such would be an act of Treason.
You guys need to look into your Constitution a little closer. Fight!
@NAUresistance Some of us believe that our Queen has actually commited treason by handing over our souvrenty! We have the 1689 bill of rights. This bill denys foreign influences in our affairs or the right for any foreign entity such as the European Union to govern us! Thus the Lisbon treaty which was given royal assent is an act of treason by the Queen herself against the United Kingdom. VOTE UKIP!
Hannan? This is kind of awkward, but...I think you've made me gay - your are such a dish! Do you think you could post me a pair of your worn briefs? I'd be ever so thankful to you.
'Pactio Olisipiensis censenda est' - apparently he says it after the end of every speech of his, its a demand that the Lisbon Treaty should be put to a vote. app it mimics some famous classical speech - sounds a bit pretentious to me, but he is a well good speaker
It's an echo of Cato the Elder's phrase "Carthago delenda est" (Carthage must be destroyed). During the latter parts of the Punic wars, he would repeat this phrase at the end of every speech, whether about the war with Carthage or not.
Welcome my European "countryman", I know that you share the same values and culture as me so why shouldn't we share the little we have with 400 million others that we care just as much for.
If UK doesn't vote Ukip in a week our last hope will be Ireland.
May God's wisdom guide the Irish to avoid eternal chaos
The Irish Times today said - 64% of ireland were ready to vote for the Lisbon Treaty.. Sounds like EU propaganda to me to try and put peer pressure on the irish voters
Gosh, I sure love the way this guy can think on his feet. He just gets up and makes his points in an eloquent way with no teleprompter. Could we transplant him to America?
Wasn't Mr. Hannan born on a US flagged ship or a TWA flight to London? Surely, if the current Kenyan/Indonesian POTUS mutt (his word not mine) can fake his way into office, a way can be found to elect Mr. Hannan to the post.
He'd win more electoral votes than McGovern lost in '72!
We need a man like Hannan. Remember we must abide by the very Constitutional limitation you claim BHO violated. Hannan is not a natural born US citizen (nor a citizen at all). He's a UK citizen, born and raised.
If we had someone like him, born in the USA, over 40 (to Constitutionally qualify), and an honest person, then that person would be an excellent challenger to BHO. Alas, Reagan is dead. Where is this diamond in the rough?
Sorry, he may be intelligent, but he's no charismatic speaker, he was boring. He'd do better as a speech writer. Hannan, like Reagan, has the personality, balls, and charisma to express their meanings and thoughts in an appreciable way.
People need someone to fire them up, not give a university lecture. Good speakers speak at a level people can relate to and empathize with.
I dont agree - i think he's a great speaker. You dont need to put fire and emotion into speeches to get people to listen.. Fire only serves to get people emotional and become irrational.
Oh that's right. The Presidential election of 1980 was full of irrational voters. (sarcasm)
I did not say have someone like Obama who says one thing to make people feel good and does something completely different (LIE). No, a charismatic speaker can be charismatic without inciting a riot, nor make people irrational. I didn't say we needed a fire and brimstone preacher, just someone with speaking talent to inspire with eloquence. Hannan and Reagan illustrate this well.
Of course they are. And they will be until they get into power. At that point, Labour will turn anti EU and the Torys will be pro EU and will go against all their election pledges and manifestos to end us going into the EU. If anyone has an accute memory, they will see how the system works and how we live in a two party dictatorship.
lol. So true. Cameron is just a second rate clone of Blair( not saying Blair was brilliant either). I am pretty sure he is Pro EU as well. I think Hannan is actually anti EU, but I doubt he will get into power because he is two radical.
Of course he is. We live in a two party dictatorship. They tell us one thing for us to vote them into power, then do the opposite. Cameran is no different. Remember when Tony Blair was the blue eye boy, come to save the UK from the previous bungling moron? Can you see a pattern here?!?!
Daniel I live in your constituency of South East England Your the best Representative we can have i will be voting for you in June. Thank You for all your hard work.
There's no point voting for Dan Hannan because his party leader Cameron, doesn't share the same views. If you want an end to EU rule, BNP is the only option.
Im also noticing alot of government schills on videos nowadays. Ones that try and attack liberty for people and the downsizing of governments, along with keeping them in check and from controlling every aspect of our lives.
These are the same people that tries to call freedom facism and promotes governemnt control/tyranny as an ultimate good for man. Some of these people are called CRAPCANNONS(not an insult, user on youtube)
I hope American's are paying attention to whats going on with the E.U because America will soon be the North American Union modled after the EU, and that includes the loss of our constitution and sovereignty.
Well had a small flick thru Danniels book and what i must say is that im very impressed. Even just reading the blurb at the back or opening the front cover to read a few quotes from Aristotle, Thomas Jefferson, Armartya Sen and F A Hayek. Quotes like.
"When the government fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the governemnt, there is tyranny."
This book seems to offer the people of the UK freedom and prosperity that they so desperatly need. And would even remind Americans

Yes, and she should stand trial and answer for the Act's of her Executive.
There are ways to do this and I would encourage those who value their Sovereignty,
to look into the remedies for power out of control.

1.Why does the despised Lisbon Treaty/Constitution demand that all states spend more on weapons and their military ?
2.Why does EU legislation originate from an un-elected `commission´ who meet in secret ?
3.Why has the EU ignored the results of Dutch,French and Irish referendums ?
4.When will EU corruption be tackled ?
5.When were we Europeans ASKED if we WANTED an EU parliament ?
All the parliament wants is legitimacy i.e. your vote.
Don't give it to them .
