hi! i LOVE your hair-- im truly considering locking my hair (i have natural curls that can become un-ruly) how long have you had locs? im in high school.. so choosing locs would be a bigg decision for me... i love my natural curls and waves but something about locs seems beautiful, more likely to grow longer, and overall easier to manage. should i wait to make this choice? (my hair is kind of long already..) is there a way i can test the way it looks on me before taking the plunge? thanks!

Just in time for my sister's wedding today!! I had not made up my mind about how to style my hair but I saw this video and decided to do it. I just finished my hair, it took me about 20 minutes to do. My sister didn't want us to have too much going on in the front so I kind of swirled mine and pinned them down a little flatter. @manga4774 if your hair is shoulder length you can definitely do a braid out and then pin your hair up into a style. you never know what your hair is capable of until you try!

How did you figure out how to replicate this style?

@curleedst i just looked at the photo, realized her hair was in large braids and then tried it. no special secret, just gave it the good ole' "college try" until i figured it out. i also kinda combined the steps from a few different styles i've done in the past so it wasn't too difficult.

I cut my locks recently due to breakage and build up issues -(I have to give a big shout out and thanks to 'Quotianlight' for educating me on best ways/products to clarify locks). But once I get a bit of lenght back I'll definately be doing this style. Thank You

@InquisitivelyMe aw thank you! it's funny, when i look back on my videos from a few years ago i also notice that i look somewhat different. i think it's a combination of things. mainly my new camera/lens which seriously makes EVERYONE look amazing, i've lost some weight which has changed the shape of my face and i've also started wearing my eye makeup a little differently (video on that soon!) plus, i think my face is just changing as i'm getting older. it's weird, but not a bad thing!
