  • Would you tell me where you found the medal charm with the "Lords Prayer"? I would love to find a place that has items like that. Thanks in advance. Fellow christian here.

  • @sherrell360 It was in a box of old jewelry I got at an auction. If you have a Bible Book & Gift Store, you may be able to find something similar? Thank you for watching :)

  • i want to do an altered book, but i don't want to destroy the book. i'm torn . I do love your alter book. may peace, love, & happiness be always with you

  • @freeasabird12907 I'm afraid that by definition, an altered book means that the book is changed in some way. Maybe find some old book that has little or no meaning to you. Perhaps something that is along the same theme as what you are wanting to express with your altered book? Good luck, hope your dilema is resolved so that you can create a project that is near and dear to you :)

  • This is beautiful and inspirational. I can't wait to get started on one of my own.

  • @AnnetteyBrunettey Have you had a chance to get started on one? If so, I would be interested in seeing it :) Thank you for your comment!

  • I dont belive in "God" but I really like your art :)

  • @LusciousApril Thank you for taking the time to comment! I appreciate it :)

  • Beautiful journal & thanks for sharing. I too have a fear of death, especially right now. I have leukemia & am terrified of dying. I keep myself busy scrapbooking etc.

It helps alot & talking to people also. Hope to see more of your art. :)

  • You're so cute.. "I don't know if I'm any good at this vloging thing."

  • I just started a challange with my friends doing altered books. So in my search for something about them I found you. I love your book and your mini sermon. Thank you for sharing.

  • I guess its just proof that one man's trash is another man's treasure. I appreciate your opinion, but I would rather turn something thats rotting away in a box into something that is meaningful to me. Its the same with any of the repurposed/altered items I do. Thank you for commenting :)

  • You are so sweet. and so is your book! It inspired me :) I'm going through a hard moment, maybe it would be a good idea to put everything on paper. Thanks so much for sharing, it's beautiful!

  • Thank you for the lovely comment :) I'm glad that you have been inspired. I hope you find peace, joy, and contentment beyond the hard moment you are experiencing.

  • Thank you for sharing yourself and being vulnerable in your altered book!. You are very genuine and refreshing. My next project after I scrap my families' trip to Epcott, will be my first altered book. I already have a theme in mind. Oh heck, maybe I will start more than one project at a time!

  • I loved your book. Well, what I've seen so far. It's very beautiful. I'm doing an altered book in my art class, I saw some things I may try. I really loved your hidden page. (But I won't copy anything.)

And about you being afraid of death, don't be. You're a Child Of God. And well taken care of at that. God Bless!

  • Your book is beautiful 5*! thank you for sharing. it was inspirational.

  • I love the "hidden" part. It is a very exquisite idea!! I will definitely be sure to include that in the first altered book I plan to make.

  • Well I posted before the vid was finished. So now i wish to comment again after seeing the finale to the book. I never dreamed the altered books could be so profound. I thought they were pretty or neat, but wow!!! I have been inspired by your openess and sharing of the "hidden" part of the book that is obviously documenting a painful part of your past. I pray it is cathartic. I commend you for moving through this and sharing with others. Many Blessings to you and your family! And thankyou again.

  • Just lovely Dustbunny!

  • I enjoyed your video and it wasn't too preachy for those of who have different beleifs. I got some good ideas, thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks for sharing .. A very beautiful personalized book. Many blessings;-)))

  • You are very talented. I made an altered book for my best friend as a going away present when she went off to college. It brought her to tears. It was at a point in her life where she was just starting to recover from anorexia. It was just my way of showing her that i was there for her the whole time and i will be with her for many years to come.

    Thank you for sharing this.

  • You are most welcome, and thank you for taking the time to comment. What a wonderful and thoughtful present for your friend :) I'd be interested in seeing any other book that you make!

  • I find this moving and inspiring. Thank you!

  • Thank you very much! This kind of feedback helps me to get past the fear of opening up and sharing things close to my heart.

  • Great altered book and very inspring

  • That was awesome.I like the key page. I have done my scrapbook in a key theme. One page it did a map, the page is called points along the road I glued down a key for the 'map key'. Another page was keys to success...so I like keys. Well, done. Thank you.

  • thanks so much for sharing your process. it has made me realise i have to put a little bit of myself into my work

    lisa

  • Very interesting, you did a very good job with the book. I'm not crafty at all so I'd never be able to make anything like that (I don't have the patience to be crafty).

    Dianne

  • Thank you so very much Dianne. And I'm not crafty either...the book practically made itself. It was a journey in the unfolding...
