@sexytim91 that is because the second game was rushed. They were only given one year to make it. So the guys put out a restoration mod to put in all the missing content.

Ok so....ive been playing RPG's for a while.....and every time i set my mind to buy this game i see another.....so can someone tell me how the game works.....is it like oblivion? like left click kill? or kinda you have your powers set up like on the 123..... keys.......or is it something like drakensang? i realy dont know so im asking for advice....^^
@anubiswarrior123 at the bottom you have almost a grid, there is your lightsaber/swords then grenades/mines and then force. You like queue them up and then its almost turn based. It seems more exiting than that as it all plays in real time but the element of chosing attacks and the way that the battles play out is turn based.
This is what all games should be like, in kotor, the reason the game is so realistic is that they let you be yourself which is awesome. KOTOR FTW! MW2 and this game are my top 2.
I installed my game yesterday, played until you unlock the four planets you get to choose from to search for the other jedi. I finished Dantooine and save my game. I turned on my computer today, launched, loaded and found all the items in the invintory that were not equipped GONE! I tried reloading it (I made the mistake of only making 1 save file.) But the items never came back. But when I tried to leave the ship, it sends me back to the main menu. Any ideas? D:

@eastcoaststandup I agree immensely. the first game had moments of happiness and really brought peace and a sense of serenity to the heart. the next game for the exact opposite, and always feels dark, creeping in the shadows, and has a very doomed undertone. even in much brighter places (such as Telos), the sense of danger and uneasiness never goes away. the game ultimately makes you feel like everything you're doing is pointless and that you're journey was doomed from the start
Shit man take three weeks off of work just for the first one. You aren't truly playing the game unless you go through and do at least some of the sidequests.
My only problem with this game is that some parts of the gameplay were a tad boring, but the story, which of course is what you buy it for, is amazing, so even with it's flaws I'd still happily give a 10/10

It is different, but in a good way. -- It gives you that emptiness and sadness of a bottomless end. Most people wouldn't like this, but I find it intriguing. -- It leaves you wistful, wanting more . . . but you won't get it.

KotoR 2 actually gave characters depth. For example, the Jedi Exile was constantly confronted with what she did at Malachor V. You had to either stand your ground or repent, either way, you must acknowledge your past actions. In KotoR 1, Revan is never really confronted with his past atrocities. He's given a clean slate and he never has to answer for his past crimes.
I have this game for the x-box, and the load times are very slow, and I can't help it but to me, this game just feels....incomplete. There is much that makes this game much better than the previous game, but in this one, there are doors that can be selected, but say they can't be opened at the time, and never again can you visit them. also, they never mention nihilus' real name or his ship, or really naything about him, yet they know how to lure him out, and by chance know what ship is his?
@Gioeli76 Thats because Lucasarts forced obsedian to get the game done before they were finished in time for a christmas release. They had to cut out lots of stuff. Even a whole planet to visit i heard. So thats where this game got hurt. it felt unfinished and it was. It was suprior in terms of your choices and amount of force powers and the new influence aspect etc. It was actually pretty close to the original overall but the fact it was not complete lost its chance to be even better
I got this for the PC, and despite some bugs(compatibility with laptops, and game play issues), it was one of the best SW games ever made. I'm going through the first game right now(playing'em out of sequence) and finding it less interesting than the second...still good though.

I am sorry but KOTOR 2 sucks... and I mean that as nicely as I can. KOTOR was such an amazing, outstanding and revolutionary game... that saying KOTOR 2 was almost as good is a disgrace. I didn't completely loathe KOTOR 2, it had its moments but the character dialogue system was beyond broken. There was no clear romance and any choices you made didn't really seem to effect the game. The hand maiden was a great example... I wanted to make her my apprentice but she never seemed to do what I wanted
@AchillesxHero You need to get a guide for the influence\apprentice training segments. Anyway Lucasarts only allocating a scant 9 months to the sequel was a major part of the problem (that and Obsidian's over-ambitious development plan)

my two complaints for this game are that peragus was boring and too long and the first 10 hours or so are way to linear other than that this is a amazing game almost as good as the first kotor

when i played kotor 2, i FUCKIN hated the ending, it was not good at all and wasn't very epic. i played kotor 1 a long time ago but im gonna go buy them both 2morrow becuz i fucking love them

this game truly tapped into the darkside of star wars like no other game has before
kotor atmousphere = bright and happy

@eastcoaststandup Oh, dude. Light side Guardians FTW. But when the Dark Side has the force, it's pretty amazingly easy. Once you're out of Telos, then you can just own the entire game.

@eastcoaststandup I agree immensely. the first game had moments of happiness and really brought peace and a sense of serenity to the heart. the next game for the exact opposite, and always feels dark, creeping in the shadows, and has a very doomed undertone. even in much brighter places (such as Telos), the sense of danger and uneasiness never goes away. the game ultimately makes you feel like everything you're doing is pointless and that you're journey was doomed from the start

My only problem with this game is that some parts of the gameplay were a tad boring, but the story, which of course is what you buy it for, is amazing, so even with it's flaws I'd still happily give a 10/10

Most people dislike Kotor 2. . . but I find it special.
It is different, but in a good way. -- It gives you that emptiness and sadness of a bottomless end. Most people wouldn't like this, but I find it intriguing. -- It leaves you wistful, wanting more . . . but you won't get it.
My only negative about this game, was that it was too short.

they are both excellent for what they were trying to express, but kotor 1 was worked on longer, making it better for what it was trying to give you . .
you should just get both, if you plan to get them at all.

How does this look anything like "space invaders"? I'll admit that the graphics look dated a bit but since when do graphics play any important role at all with gameplay? oh and i forgot to mention this guys wrong your skills arnt lockd depending on what side your on i was a Jedi with all sith powers vry fun tho usn them can make you descend to the dark *sometimes* its tricky u just hav to play with it and if ur in good at all with the old lady you find out that the point of all she sais is about not bein bound to just one side and that she believes that siths an jedis are just extremist losers and if you play ur character as all good ull think so too.

this is the best damn game ever made anyone who says different hasnt playd it or playd it in a long time, the amount of mind sets you can establish for your character is infinite and for as long as iv had it or played it i bet i have yet to unlock all the possible audios i would buy this game again if all they did was graphically cleaned it.

I'm guessing that the people who didn't like the game also think that "The Empire Strikes Back" was the "boring one."
KotoR 2 actually gave characters depth. For example, the Jedi Exile was constantly confronted with what she did at Malachor V. You had to either stand your ground or repent, either way, you must acknowledge your past actions. In KotoR 1, Revan is never really confronted with his past atrocities. He's given a clean slate and he never has to answer for his past crimes.

I have this game for the x-box, and the load times are very slow, and I can't help it but to me, this game just feels....incomplete. There is much that makes this game much better than the previous game, but in this one, there are doors that can be selected, but say they can't be opened at the time, and never again can you visit them. also, they never mention nihilus' real name or his ship, or really naything about him, yet they know how to lure him out, and by chance know what ship is his?

@Gioeli76 Thats because Lucasarts forced obsedian to get the game done before they were finished in time for a christmas release. They had to cut out lots of stuff. Even a whole planet to visit i heard. So thats where this game got hurt. it felt unfinished and it was. It was suprior in terms of your choices and amount of force powers and the new influence aspect etc. It was actually pretty close to the original overall but the fact it was not complete lost its chance to be even better

I got this for the PC, and despite some bugs(compatibility with laptops, and game play issues), it was one of the best SW games ever made. I'm going through the first game right now(playing'em out of sequence) and finding it less interesting than the second...still good though.

i just got this game for Christmas. as far as i played ( 2 hrs) it seems to be a very good game. of course the storyline is going quite slow and i'm wondering when i'll get my lightsaber :) lol

I am sorry but KOTOR 2 sucks... and I mean that as nicely as I can. KOTOR was such an amazing, outstanding and revolutionary game... that saying KOTOR 2 was almost as good is a disgrace. I didn't completely loathe KOTOR 2, it had its moments but the character dialogue system was beyond broken. There was no clear romance and any choices you made didn't really seem to effect the game. The hand maiden was a great example... I wanted to make her my apprentice but she never seemed to do what I wanted

@AchillesxHero You need to get a guide for the influence\apprentice training segments. Anyway Lucasarts only allocating a scant 9 months to the sequel was a major part of the problem (that and Obsidian's over-ambitious development plan)

The strange thing was, you could get all the same bonuses by LOSING influence with a character instead gaining influence. No one seems to know this...
