I hated that night. My annoying relatives had to come at my house to spend the night. It was awful. And the aftermath was horrifying in the morning because the sky was friken green at the area where i lived. I thought we were having a tornado! And my family realized that the power went out and my brother and i almost suffocated in that house due to heat. Luckily, my older sis still has power so we came there and stayed for two weeks.
My family had to stay up in a ugly old attic cause my mom said that leaving the house to die was too hard for her, and what do you know, we stayed there until it was safe and the house was still there. =P
...I live there its sooo great there 2 live i jst love Houston TX my family live there i live in da Hotel like DA 24th floor i live on da way up top???
SaturnOwner26 _ I heard about Eilsha and I was a little kid at that time. To me Ike was the worse, all the poewr was out for days and people was buying anything and everything here, it was pretty crazy and you couldnt take a bath either lol Lucky I had some where to go and they had gas, we was able to cook and shower but other wasn't so lucky. This winter we are having is no job either , temp 21 degrees we not use to that here in Houston. PEACE
I remember the calm before the storm, I was staying at my mom's job in the galleria to ride out ike. He was the scariest storm I ever experienced. I stayed at the doubletree hotel on the 21st floor, next time. . .I am evacuating!!!
wow, i can still remember the loud "bzzzzzzt!" and green flashes from the transformers exploding....definitely makes for a scary situation when it's pitch black and the wind is extremely strong.......I lived through Ike!!
I live in Houston and I just hope they will fill up those empty vacant parking lots with tall buildings... Houston is the 4th biggest city in the US and we gotta make the most of it...
