@pyromidas Lack of communication. One wanted more of one thing where the other wanted something else. Tarja versus Tuomas in this case. He wanted to keep pushing concerts and such, she wanted to go back and focus on her life long dreams of becoming a better opera singer, and lack of communication and disagreements severed the group apart. Tuomas from the beginning wanted the group to be more acoustic and decided Tarja's voice was "too much" (or something like that) and he fired her.

@SeraphimIllusion Her voice being "too much" was never part of the equation. It was a combination of lack of communication and the fact that her husband/personal manager, Marcelo Cabuli, was very demanding in terms of money for performances which caused them to not have a U.S. tour for their album "Once" and seemed to keep her from communicating with the band a lot of the time. If anything, he drove a wedge between her and the band.

I've always like Nightwish, although I have not heard many of their songs.. This is by far, my favorite. The Music, the Lyrics.. it is all so incredible and I cannot truly express my regret that they have changed Vocalists. Tarja is irreplaceable.

Both names are not correct... As HEnricko3 said, it's a fake name. If you whent out and bought yourself a coppy of Oceanborn, you'd see. It's like when a friend of mine downloaded a Nightwish song to see what they're like cos I talk about them alot. She downloaded one that was apparently called "Lord of the Rings" but Nightwish don't have a song by that name. It was Elvenpath. What happened with the name "Gothic Sanctuary" for Gehtsamane was similar. One download sight called it that, now lots
