I have a good mission in quick missions that I think you'd like. Get the maximum number of C-47's as possible, add on a fleet of B-29's and only have four fighters, you and 3 wingmen, and then it's really fun to shoot them all down, they don't even have gunners! (for the fighters, I use Tempests with rockets)

I have never played the demo so I dont know exactly what you are talkinig about, but if you crash at high speed all you will see is an explosion. If you land a little too hard, clip another plane or get chewed up by enemy guns you will see parts break off. If that is not the case in the demo version just buy 1946. I bought it over a year ago and it was only $20.
