  • Ron Paul supports the United States of America. You, McCain, Clinton,Bush and lets not forget Obama support the Council of Foreign Relations. Here's to McCains foreign policy. They are for the North American Union.Check out the Video Congresswoman Marci Kaptur the North American Union. If Ron Paul is not on the ballot,I am writing him in and so is my whole family. All of Austin Texas are supporting him too Is it because they are so cool,or perhaps their property is being threaten by Emident Domain

  • when Ron Paul first came out I supported him becasue he was pro confederacy. Put yes looking into him his other views are a little odd. McCain has my support these days and I think he will be a continuation of our current adminstration which I am for. Good video. Though im still a Confederate =]

  • You were right the first time.Ron Paul is not for the NAU.If you don't know what this I urge you to Watch Congresswomen Marci Kaptur on NAU.CNN Lou Dobbs as a good video on this to.America has Canidate. Im writting him in if he's not on the ballot and so is my whole family.

  • Sorry Mr. Lufftwaffle, you put me to sleep. Here's a tip ... learn how to speak with fluency, conviction, knowledge and security of subject. Use facts whenever possible but avoid at all costs generalities based on or infused with semi-passion. Snore.....

  • I apologize, perhaps I can start to rant and rave..or possibly even whine like Dr. Paul does.

  • Sorry I wasted my response to you. If your only comeback is a false and insulting condemnative of Dr. Paul, you obviously didn't get the message. Incidentally, dissertation or even a homily, if based on or backed up with factual evidence, is NOT "rant, rave or whine".

  • What's wrong with taking back the Confederacy? It's not like Ron Paul will resurrect slavery. That's not what the Confederacy was about anyway.

  • wait a sec...where does it say in the constitution that only white men can hold office? Where do you get your facts from?

  • Sigh... despite you having studied political science, your entire premise on Ron Paul bringing us back 200 years is completely flawed. On top of that, you don't seem to have a very good grasp of history of the U.S instituting many of those dictators and setting up the very network Al Queda is built on. Meh, at least you sound somewhat reasonable, there's hope yet.

  • I gave your vid 5 stars even though I disagree with you. I think the reason Ron Paul seems like he wants to turn the clock back 200 years is because he is a strict Constitutionalist. I agree with him that our government has gotten way to big and we are moving toward soft fascism.

It's like Ronald Regan said; "When government expands liberty contracts"

  • Um.. look at your video's rating bro.

    | /. peace

AT LEAST YOU GOT THE BALLS TO MAKE A VIDEO AND SAY WHAT YOU THINK. I'LL GIVE YOU THAT.

  • Thanks, I don't do this for ratings though. I figured I would get bad ratings, considering RP supporters are very active on Youtube especially.

  • That's why I respect what you've done. I may support Ron Paul, but I'm also my own person and am very aware of what I say. And I know that YouTube is a haven for the Ron Paulsters and conspiracy theorists. It's not easy to voice an opinion that's not popular.

Now you know how "we" feel outside of YouTube and the Internet. ;)

    | /. peace bro

  • Luftwaffels: Yes, I clearly don't understand his foreign Policy. I clearly don't understand anything I'm talking about. People don't like Ron Paul, hence the results of elections. I can dislike Ron Paul all I want, this is still America, well it is until Ron Paul is elected. Woops, sorry for getting your hopes up, won't happen.

  • What's your point? What type of people are Ron Paul supporters? Other than his foreign policy, which clearly you don't understand, what else do you not agree with? The fact that people actually like him? Next time, get off the hater wagon and write down your sht before you record it.

  • Here you go (again) talkin stupid sht. "People don't like Ron Paul, hence the results of elections." You mean all those elections he's won (to stay in Congress) or the elections that haven't even taken place yet? Yea. I guess people don't like him and that's why he's raised more money than the other candidates.. because he's hated.

Grow up, get laid, find something better to do with your wasted time. Loser. ..l.,

  • Let's do this.

    Countdown to obscurity.

6 elections lost 44 to go.

  • You said something in your video about Ron Paul supporters who think they're so cool. Is that what all of this is about? Were some bad people mean to you?

  • No, they just annoy me. Plus originally I was trying to talk to one Paul supporter to tell her why I didn't like him.

  • Do I annoy you? I like you. I think you could be a libertarian when you grow up.

  • No, you don't annoy me at all. It's the many other RP people who insult you just because you don't want to vote for RP instead of trying to change minds, like you have.

  • I agree that people get too riled up.

  • What's your point? What type of people are Ron Paul supporters? Other than his foreign policy, which clearly you don't understand, what else do you not agree with? The fact that people actually like him? Next time, get off the hater wagon and write down your sht before you record it.

  • Yes, I clearly don't understand his foreign Policy. I clearly don't understand anything I'm talking about. People don't like Ron Paul, hence the results of elections. I can dislike Ron Paul all I want, this is still America, well it is until Ron Paul is elected. Woops, sorry for getting your hopes up, won't happen.

  • If I recieve one more message that has no substance to it other than a personal attack, I will be removing the ability to comment. Flaming me is not a right, and I am weary of having to read this. Most of you have posted intelligently, but some bad apples are ruining it.

  • Bwilson stop spamming man!

  • I'm replying to individual posts and they are all coming up together on top. Bitch at YouTube!

  • ron paul single handedly made me passionate about goverment. i now spend hours a day reading and researching world current events, history of government, the constitution and so on and so forth. i love it, and i thank Ron Paul for opening my eyes so wide.

  • This is why the Revolution will not go away. As more people educate themselves they will be better able to explain the issues facing our nation to the uninformed and misled. The Revolution has nowhere to go but up. What I'm a little concerned about is economic collpase and an attack on Iran which could spark a regional war that turns into a world war. Bush could suspend elections and declare martial law. Out of the chaos could rise the NWO.

  • While it's good that Ron Paul opened your eyes to the glories of Politics, I don't think it's so good that he's the only one you've ever really supported. You've been introduced to only one set of ideas, you should branch out to see what the others have to offer.

  • Luft,

I worked at the state level in the Bush Sr. campaign. I saw and in fact participated in the corruption of that campaign. Thereafter I repented and worked in the Ross Perot campaign. After that, I kept a close eye on politics during the Clinton/Bush Jr. administrations but found no candidate worthy of my support. Then Ron Paul came along and blew me away with his bravery to tell Americans the truth. If Ron Paul were lying they wouldn't be ignoring him;)

  • thats not what i said dude. pay attention man, you spend way too much time on here commenting. i said he made me "passionate" about it. that doesn't mean i have never been interested in government before. i had to have an interest in government in first place to even try to find out who he was right?!? duh. i have supported people in the past but dude, im 19 years old,

  • 1. When people post on my videos, I have the common curtosy to reply to them.

    2. Be more clear with your writing next time then. It sounded as if you meant that he got you interested in Government for the first time.

  • What is going on here?

  • are you talking to me?

  • The president is not supposed to be the powerhouse of the government. The judicial branch is barely heard, the legislative pushed around while the President is given too much power. Ron Paul is saying if we need to intervene then Congress should tell him to do so and then send the army. To him it needs to be protocol.

  • No one gives anyone any power. All politics is a struggle for more power. The judicial has the power it has because it took it craftily by making a precedent for Judicial Review. The Legislative and Executive always butt heads. Sometimes the Legislature wins, sometimes the President does.

  • We, the People have the power, in numbers. The leaders are but a few elite. The People have been leaving those voting booths having given away their power to a few "representatives" who turn right around and give that power to 30,000 + corporate lobbysists in DC. Right now, Big Corporate controls America, by controlling the currency and every branch of Government.

  • what Ron Paul is saying is that less government involvement in personal lives, be non-interventionalist unless the Congress sees otherwise, and give the money back to the people. Bring back our military to the country protect our borders, not others unless the Congress sees otherwise.

  • you don't know what you're talking about. Use reason and critical thinking! If you pay attention to every time America has invaded a country since WWII, you'd see we never did it for a truly good moral reason, but for a selfish few. You negativity in general comes through in your voice.

  • Korea, yeah we were wrong.

    Vietnam, yeah we were wrong.

    Greneda, yeah we were wrong.

Desert Storm, yeah we were wrong...

no wait, we were right in doing these things. Most of the time we were asked to come and fight.

Thanks for the compliment on my oh so negative voice.

  • Both Jefferson and Washington warned us about entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. Today, we have troops in 130 countries. We are spread so thin that we have too few troops defending America. We can continue to fund and fight no-win police actions around the globe, or we can refocus on securing America and bring the troops home. No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution.

  • WHO asked "US" to come fight in so many countries? Usually dictators or feudalistic landlords (propped up by American tax dollars) asked the American elites to suppress their native populations trying to rise up. The elites oblige for money and prestige. Before you say and write things about American foreign policy in public you should try looking up Major General Smedley Butler, USMC and his classic "War Is A Racket"

  • Okay, so that rules out South Vietnam....is that the best you got?

  • Actually, yeah 3,000,000 murdered is the "best" example of a country unjustly invaded by forces from America if one wants to call it that. O.K., I guess you won't check out Smedley Butler so we can go through the horrifying list one by one here in public. You may not be interested in Indian Nations or Mexico, so, for starters you pick one: Hawaii, the Philippines, Guatemala or Iran. We'll leave out the Cambodia & Laos since they're tied to the Vietnam massacre and you've already conceded that.

  • Hey, like "bwilson" I just found out you are only 20,I'm sorry if I sounded condescending. But you could change your tone as well. You probably have done a lot of studying and feel you've got your stuff down, but I'd venture your teachers were mostly coming from one angle. Don't take offense because the U.S. has become a different kind of dictatorship, but what would your views be if you had just "graduated" from the Hitler Youth?

  • So far my teachers have either been leftists or strictly neutral. I have not had a Conservative one yet, but I still hold my conservative ideas. The education in the United States is crappy, but it is not brainwashing.

  • Leftists ARE ascendant in public education at this time in our history. That doesn't mean that you will come out as a parrot of their views. It's easy, if you are so inclined to have a rightist outlook, they can teach you in books, internet and esp the radio. What "respectable" leftists and rightists DO, which is the source of your conditioning and hopefully temporary blindness is frame the debate.....

  • Both sets of teachers believe that the U.S. is the master of the world and that everyone's rights originate from U.S. elites' mandates. They are merely fighting over the details as to what they will do for or to their subjects. Try coming out of the box, as "bwilson" suggested. Maybe some Spooner or Spencer.

  • 3 million died after we left due to Communist attacks.

    Nice try though.

  • I think you're confusing Vietnam with Cambodia, yes the Americans killed 100s of thousands there, followed by 1.5 million killed by the communist group who took over because of the American made disaster. The native death counts in American invasions are always hard to be precise on. Here is the range of estimates for Vietnam. 5.1 million,4 mil civilian, 1.1 mil (600,000 wounded) military according to a declassified...

  • Vietnamese report, suppressed so as to avoid demoralization. American estimate on military killed: 500,000 and 400,000 by its "allies" Americans are not generally interested in civilian deaths. Also 3 million affected to differing degrees of horror by Agent Orange in the evil American war against the Vietnamese environment. (I'm not a lefty by the way, I'm too tired to try to think of another word for the wearying "Environment".)

  • lol now i'm confused.. why wouldn't it be cool to be intelligent ? why wouldn't it be cool to know what we're talking about ? it kinda beats talking out of ur ass !

  • I apologize for the tone in some of my posts...I didn't realize you were only 20 years of age. Keep doing more research. Have you seen the video called "Zeitgeist"? Have you read Frederic Bastiat essays on 'Government'? Have you seen 'Freedom to Fascism'? Have you read 'Rise and Fall of the Great Superpowers'? Remember, Government controls the education system you were taught in. Venture out.

  • Why is Ron Paul still alive then? If the Fed was out to stop him from shaking up their world, then they could surely have him killed. After all, they do control the money.

  • Have you heard the gun shows are selling out? Do you know that there are citizens in America who own firearms that can shoot to pinpoint accuracy from 1.5 miles? These individuals have already given the Rockefellers and others fair warning and to be looking out for the red dot if Paul is harmed. This is why Ron Paul is alive today. As a follower of Christ, I'm one who thinks the revolt should be nonviolent.

  • I hardly think that all Gun owners support Paul. I own several Rifles and I am not supporting him. But to shoot the Rockefellers and others without proof they did anything is wrong.

  • I wouldn't want anybody to shoot anybody else. This is what Government likes to do: drop bombs on and shoot the "enemy" and civilians. It's insanity to use the same behavior to punish a crime as the criminal used to commit the crime. There are other less violent ways to bring about desired changes than to shoot people. If only the Government knew this.

  • Young intelligent people are swarming to the message of Ron Paul because they know the international banking cartel called the Federal Reserve hijacked our government in 1913 and now has this country on track for a financial debacle as bad if not worse than the Great Depression. They are worried about their future and have good reason to be.

  • LOL!, sorry but I can't help it. What turns you off from Ron Paul is that "he has alot of very intelligent people who know what they are talking about and it's cool to be a supporter." Seems you resent intelligent people for some reason?

  • That's not at all what I said.

  • Ron Paul is saying that the basic principles set forth in the Constitution are what we should get back to. The Republic was based on We, the People and governments major role was to protect our inalienable God-given rights as individuals, not to tell us what are our rights as they are dong today! Now our government is trying to tell everybody in the world what are their rights. Just because the dicument is old does not mean that it has lost its value.

  • You don't see how Dr. Paul "As a Christian can sit here and do nothing" about genocides? Hell, our government usually does nothing! And besides, Jesus commanded His followers to: "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Jesus never said anything about killing enemies. In fact, He forgave His own executors.

  • Matthew 25:34-36

  • That scripture says nothing about bombing people to free them. It talks about giving to those in need, and if we do this that we are giving to the Father(God)

  • It's the same principal. Ignoring the oppressed is the same as ignoring a beggar asking for food.

  • "Do nothing when genocides are being committed"??? USA picks and chooses which genocides it will do something about. What about Darfur, The Congo etc.??? USA only "intervenes" when it has something to gain or when it "protects US interests".

  • My opinion is not that of the entire United States.

  • I'd say your opinions are quite popular with most other Americans. And I understand there is comfort in that. It's easy to allow government to raise and educate our children. Easy to let government take care of our health. Easy to let government take care of everything for us. But to do so, it must tax; take money from one and give it to another.

  • Have you read the Frederic Bastiat essays on 'Government'?

Do you know why the south walked out of Congress?

LOL @ "Ron Paul" wants to fight the civil war"!! Ron Paul never would have fought it to begin with!

America is a Republic? Try 'Supernational Colony'.

  • "I can't remember what he calls it. It's not isolationism, but it's something like that."

Wow, you sound like a real genius. And whoa, a PoliSci major to boot! You've done a good job convincing us to take your opinion seriously.

  • I'm sorry for not writing a script and just replying to a video on a whim. Next time I'll check with my speech writers and make sure that my video is propery put together.

  • -END THE IRAQ WAR (we have no declaration of war)

-TAKE BACK OUR DOLLAR (stop inflation, no more printing money from thin air)

-ABOLISH THE IRS AND INCOME TAX(it violates the 16th amendment, there is no law saying you have to pay)

-END THE DRUG WAR (my god this insane war has to stop)

only one person can do all this RON PAUL!!!

  • Easier said than done.

About ending the Drug War, would you like Crack to be legal? Heroine?

  • What do you think the drug war has accomplished? You do know these drugs existed well before they were made illegal, don't you?

All that the drug war has accomplished is putting more people in prison and making the drug trade more profitable and dangerous. The profits have done much to further corrupt law enforcement in this country as well as given the CIA a way to clandestinely fund opperations outside of congressional oversight.

  • exactly what john just said. Just because its legal doesn't mean we are sending the message for everyone to use it. Would you use heroin just cause its legal? Education is best. We can wipe out the black market which funds terrorism, causes crime, and sells to your children.

  • That's not the point. It's not that I'm out to stop people from enjoying themselves, I'm out to stop them from doing things that hurt other people. Crack is highly addictive, and it costs money. People get crazy with it and it leads to other crimes because they cannot afford their addiction. It's tragic, but legalizing crack only makes it worse.

  • Its not about stopping people from enjoying themselves, its about allowing them to make their own decision. The government isn't here to babysit us and tell us whats bad for our health. We are filling up our jails with non-violent drug offenses. If they hurt someone else, then they can be charged with a crime.

  • I didn't say anythign like that. Drug addiction leads to crime to fuel Drug addiction. It's very simple. Why put something out on the market that is going to lead to robbery theft and murder? Not to mention it's very bad for your health. Charging people with crimes after they've commited them because they were hopped up on something isn't a solution, it's a quick fix. Keeping people from becoming addicted is a solution.

  • The only problem is that there is always going to be a black market on everything, guns, drugs, furniture, you name it. We will have less crime with a ban on drugs than without.

  • Bad drugs are a health issue. Not a criminal one. People won't be causing crime because they will get it at a cheap price. The people need to be helped off of it. How can a black market survive when the drug is cheap?

  • The Drug won't be cheap. Capitalism will not allow it. High Demand = High Price.

  • CAPITALISM WILL NOT ALLOW IT?!??!? I'm just shaking my head here. You don't know what you are talking about, go read some books that have been recommended here to you. Some Henry Hazlitt maybe.

  • Well, we'll see. If Ron Paul is elected and Congress is daft enough to repeal drug laws. (I'm all for legal Marijuana, it's not a danger to society) But I will be on hand to say "I told you so" when you still get mugged by a crackhead looking for a way to score a fix.

  • That's another thing people don't understand about Dr Paul. He supports the WHOLE Constitution, That includes the 10th Amendment. This country wasn't meant to be uniform like it has become. Legal drugs are not palatable for everyone. It would probably be only a handful of states that legalize it. Druggies can move to their favorite states, lefties can move to theirs, we'll be charitable and send them food when they starve, ha ha.

  • Look up the word "federalism."

  • You are wrong again. It is axiomatic that bans cause higher prices and much more crime. The state wants as many laws as possible to feed its ever increasing appetite for funds and control. Read your history of Prohibition. And VICES ARE NOT CRIMES. It is impossible to legislate good health, habits or morals, they come from inside the individual with the influence of his immediate community.

  • Who is going to make it and regulate Prices? Certainly not the Government. Private Companies will, and they will raise prices for demand. It's simple economics. Junkies = high demand. High prices = same problem. Banning Alchohol and banning Crack isn't even comparable. Banning Drunk Driving and Banning Crack is however.

  • When you are really wrong you keep using the word "simple". You think you are a conservative? You believe that private companies monitor demand and jack up prices accordingly?? The price also comes from the SUPPLY, if the Feds stop destroying the drugs, no more supply problems. Also, show evidence that banning any popular substance lessens the demand for it or a replacement. It doesn't exist. The price of booze went DOWN when it was legal, demand was always the same.

  • Sorry for using words like Simple.

The price of Alchohol did go down, but then again Alchohol itself isn't highly addictive. One night of drinking isn't going to get you hooked. Addicts will keep buying and buying and buying.

And yes, I am A conservative Socially and Economically. You on the other hand are a Libertarian aparently.

  • You bet your ass I am, small l. But real conservatives as well understand the free market and that it is the source of all wealth. The science of "addiction" is very nebulous. Believe me, you can ask my wife, I HATE drugs as much as anybody, but alcohol has destroyed more lives than all the other drugs combined, hands down. I'm afraid you've imbibed too much drug war propaganda. Remember the power and funding the state receives from the drug war. None of us will be free until we stop it.

  • You are wrong on so many points.

  • Thank you for your comment, I'll take that into consideration.

  • I am Canadian and support Paul.

  • I respect your opinion on this. Although I agree that giving the States more power does amount to a Confederacy, the real issue here isn't that the Federal Government has all the power. It's how. How did they legally do this? Winning a war against the South didn't change the structure of our Republic on paper. Answer that question and you'll come to understand why what he's trying to do is so important.

  • No matter what politician you have, it will never "go back to the days of the confederation," because people are the ones that should push forward with their lives, and the way they live it. Ron Paul is like a father to the people, not a control freak like the current fat cats at the top motivated by money and power.

  • This guy really seems depressed, :). Join the revolution!!! The next money bomb is tomorrow. Let's drop the biggest one so far, :).

    FreeatLast2008dotcom

    RonPaul2008dotcom

  • How do you not see someone being like a founding father a good thing?????? Your ridiculous.

  • 1776 and 2008...very different times.

  • non-intervention was an American policy [mostly] until WWI, then it became a Democrat thing. Now it is both Republican and Democratic thing.

However it is the wrong thing. We can't police the world. Where do you draw the line.

  • I think we shouldn't be all over the world, but we should help people when it's obvious they need it.

  • USA is flat broke and we can't afford to take care of our own, much less the whole world. Have you seen what David Walker, head of the GAO is saying about the financial debacle the USA is now facing. Do you know who David Walker is?

  • Let's leave the United Nations then?

  • Luft,

Yes, we should leave the UN. We must withdraw from any organizations and trade deals that infringe upon the freedom and independence of the United States of America and it's People. The powers that be have intentions to set up a one world government. Everything we see happening points to this. The people must ask themselves if they want an even bigger floundering government than they have now.

  • Voting rights - Ron Paul has never said to go back to white male land owners. In fact, it was Thomas Jefferson who wanted to give black men the right to vote [even though he was a slave owner, he also wanted America to be free for everyone]

RP would be the 1st person to tell you everyone who is a citizen should be allowed to vote.

  • I never suggested Ron Paul would do such a thing. I'm simply pointing out that things have changed since we first wrote the Constitution. We have the ability to ammend for a reason.

  • I'm not from America and I'm sure you will disregard my comment and go about your day with an unchanged opinion.

You don't seem to realize that America is in serious danger. Your government has too much power over you and they are abusing that power. You need to put a end to it while it is still possible. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will do this.

  • Yes also I am not American

First and foremost I am a Human being with a soul.

Then as they say the identity comes next.

I am Australian for Ron Paul.

Why, because you are controlled by the elite who control your taxes, education, federal bank, they need the war to make money on the sale of military hardware, media (Murdock)

    FEMA, CIA,FBI, IRS.etc

  • I can assure you that America is not in serious danger. Americans are very sensible people and will not stand for massive abuse of power. Yes, all presidents abuse power, as did every Congress. That's what politics is, a struggle for more power. But we have not yet been pushed over the line. We still have a right to keep and bear arms.

  • Luft,

I agree that we still have a right to bear arms for now, and the gun shows all across America are selling out.

Also agree that politics is a struggle for power. The Federal Reserve banking cartel took control of our currency in 1913 and now the system they devised has America facing a financial debacle.

China and others are presently buying our nation.

  • (continued) Don't you think voluntary organization of individuals and resources would tend to achieve greater peace and prosperity for all rather than organizations based on force? As a political science major, I presume you are familiar with the iron law of oligarchy.

  • Senators were picked by the States legislators, and Congress was voted on by the People. Senators represented the State and Congress represented the people.

This change, done about 100 years ago, has caused a lot more corruption. This was not a good change.

However Ron Paul is not running on that platform [although he has stated it should not have happened]

If you are a Political Science Major, you should have known this.

  • I don't see how letting the people vote on representatives in a Democratic Republic is bad.

  • Because the federal government was meant to be a government for the states as well as the people, state governments of counties and people, county government... and so on. This allows for the most devisive issues to be resolved at a very local level, where it can best suit the local people, and the least devisive issues in personal life are what is dealt with at the national level.

  • This allows for individuals to choose the way they wish to live by allwing people to vote with their feet, a safer and quicker way to affect personal change which is extended to greater and greater groups as necessary to accomodate all who live within that group.

  • because states no longer have representation in the Federal Government. Us voting on our senators, even though they are at large, does not represent the state.

Pre 1917, if a state did not like what there Senator did, they would recall him and replace him. Now they don't even have a say.

  • Do you really think it is a good idea to try to use the state to spread goodness across the planet? I believe that history shows that it is very dangerous to give such power to an organization whose membership and revenues are not derived on a voluntary basis.

  • Genocide should never go on unchecked. We have the ability and thus the responsibility to man up and do something about it.

  • Don't you think that decisions like that should be made by individuals? Sometimes a load minority can sway majorities into causing some very terrible things.

  • I don't think the American people as a whole really care what happens to other people outside our boarders. We are a pretty selfish people, and I don't think we would make too many just decisions on going to war.

  • Perhaps. But do you know of anyone, personally, who is qualified to make any of the decisions for so many people when it comes to whose children, fathers, and mothers must go off and carry the flag or the cross to some foreign land where the ambiguity of such occurences in the world becomes obvious for those who become involved. Do you know anyone who could even begin to create an organization that could properly manage an organization that must represent about 300,000,000 people.

  • The generosity of the American people has been felt around the globe. Many have thanked God for it, in many languages.

  • load=loud, sorry.

  • Yes, and USA should start by asking forgiveness for the unnecessary genocides it perpetrated on the American Indians, its own people during the Civil War, Japan, North Korea, Viet Nam, and now Iraq. Do you recognise that the US Government is the only one insane enougn to have ever dropped nukes, and on civilian populations. It's time to repent.

  • (continued) Don't you think voluntary organization of individuals and resources would tend to achieve greater peace and prosperity for all rather than organizations based on force? As a political science major, I presume you are familiar with the iron law of oligarchy.

  • You are so sadly misinformed and misled. Limited government can accomplish good things, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. Obviously you have not served in our military forces or spent much time with those of us who DO serve our country to DEFEND our CONSTITUTION. I hope you will do some research. Maybe you need to talk to some of our veterans while you're at it--especially those who have done UN sanctioned global warfare.

  • I'm planning on Serving as a Police Officer, but I do know plenty of people currently serving in Iraq and Afgainistan, I have many former classmates fighting right now. I'd also like to think that our soldiers fight to defend the people rather than Constitution.

  • The soldiers are fighting in Iraq because Saddam Hussein started selling his oil for currencies other than the US dollar. Now Iran has discontinued acceptance of the US dollar for its oil and is opening its own oil Bourse in Feb. Time to attack Iran and do another "regime change". See where dependence on foreign oil got us?

  • Iraq was not for Oil, what it was for was WMD, the biggest Intelligence failure in our History. While we went for the wrong reason, we really should have been in Iraq 10 years ago and finished Saddam when we had him on the ropes after Desert Storm.

  • Luft,

Saddam broke his commitment and started selling his oil for something other than US dollars and "regime change" became necessary. It was also to establish permanent military bases in Iraq that could be used to launch attacks on other Mideast nations such as Iran who has discontinued accepting US $ for its oil.

  • Luft,

On the subject of Iraq and WMD's, you should really do some research on Scott Ritter. He was the head of the weapons inspection team in Iraq for years preceding and up to the invasion. He, as many others are now speaking out to the People.

  • 1860 to fight the Civil War - how do you figure that. I have NEVER hear or read him say anything about that. He has stated that the Civil War was not fought to free slaves, it was really a fight for larger government. Lincoln won. [It was actually over taxes/tariffs against farm goods to be exact like Cotton]

  • I agree with what he said about the Civil War. I was refering to his ideas on dramatically shrinking Government to Pre-Civil War Era America. The "refighting the civil war" means we're going to be argueing what North and South was 140 years ago, and then it took 600,000 lives to resolve it.

  • You seem very well educated, but yet mis-informed. I'm a 36 year old veteran and have never been active in politics until recently. Dr. Paul's Foreign Policy is non-interventionalist, that doesn't mean allowing genecide or other evil to take place. Invented evil shouldn't be the reason for a war though.

  • Thank You for the compliment as well as your Service.

The reason for Iraq may have been crappy, but we should have been there 10 years ago.

  • How about sound money, without it the whole free world is toast. What do you think of the abuse of the Miltary personal fighting in iraq. Your view on the patriot act ? How about the media black out of Ron Paul ? World wide...What are the chances of the Republicans getting the administrative branch back. Without Ron Paul, the Republicans don't even have a chance.

  • 1. Sound Money? I'm no expert on Economics so I really cannot comment.

2.Abuse of Military Personel? The only abuse I see is the Democrats refusing to give them money for body armor and equipment. We need to stop using contractors for food, it's too costly, 40 bucks for one meal.

    3. Patriot Act is both good and bad. It does stop terrorism plots, but it also encroaches upon our rights and Liberties.

  • do you remember

"Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security."

    --Benjamin Franklin

  • Yes, it's a very famous quote.

  • It's the monetary policy that has inflation heating up. Inflation is the killer tax. Our nation is facing a financial debacle: sudden and disastrous collapse. The Federal Reserve keeps printing money out of thin air. They're running out of bandaids.

  • 4. Media blackout? He has come in second in Nevada and that is it, I hear more about Paul than I do Thompson or any of the other candidates besides Romney, Huckabee, Guiliani, and McCain.

The Republicans can win, if the go up against Hillary, Obama probably not.

  • if there weren't a media blackout on Ron Paul I'd venture to say that none of his supporters we be with him. It is the reason why the blackout that we support him:) I'm glad Ron Paul had balls enough to start this Revolution that is WAAAAAYYYY overdue. Jefferson said We, the People would need a revolution every 20 years to keep Corporate out.

  • Ron Paul's Money bombs, Dec 16 boston tea party , highest one day for any presidential candidate...never reported on main stream media CTV or CBC...In Canada...??? The free world is toast...

  • It was reported, just not to the extent that satisfied supporters. Did you get the jist of my post? - that if the mainstream media was giving Paul alot of positive attention he wouldn't be the one we wanted...he'd be just another bought and paid for by the neocons candidate. This Revolution is gonna take time...and you bring up a good point...the more inflation heats up like toast, the faster the Revolution will grow:)

  • I disagree, he is not the only one who is not receiving media attention. The only thing I'd heard about Duncan Hunter was that he was out of the race. Tancredo who? Thompson was in the news until he actually declared that he was running, and then poof he vanished.

It's all about the front runners, the media doesn't care about anyone but Mitt, McCain, or Huckabee.

  • Luft,

Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo and Thompson have raised little money and support. Mitt, McCain and Huck are willing players. McCain and Huck have little to no money but love war. Huck says: "Go in with both feet stomping and overwhelming force!". God knows how many civilians would have been trampled in Iraq if it were up to Huck. This "kill 'em" attitude suits the neocon agenda well.
