Probably "O Canada" still. It may not have been official until 1980 but it was the only national anthem I knew while growing up, and that was long before 1980.

The voice of CKNX was Brian Elmslie. I grew up in the early '60's with only 2 Television Stations to watch, and CKNX was one of them!

It had only been one year since "O Canada" became that country's national anthem, so what did CKNX use prior to 1980, "God Save thy Queen?"

From what I understand, CKNX ended its original broadcasting on Aug. 31/09 and not just rebroadcasts the CFPL signal. CKNX, RIP.
