not true, i own a passat 3.6s auto with the tiptronic and it is a 6 speed and a v6. this car is a sleeper you would do expect it to as fast as it is. sounds nice man. great car

@BeKozlov90 You do realize that most of the Passats are straight imports from Germany right? My 2006 was, and it was an OK car, 6MT failed at 2800 miles. They had terrbile fuel pump cam follower failuers that caused completely top end damage in like 20-30K miles. Had ZERO horsepower under 3000 rpm in the summer time.
2.0TFSI. But I did enjoy the rest of the car, it held up well. Looked brand new at the end of my lease.
i built toyo supras with 7mgte with turbo's from diesel engines so whatever you have didn't match to what I've built in the past, I don't race anymore due to the fact that you can killed very easily going 200mph . right now I have a clk320 with a kelman supercharger running at 2 bar pushing about 350 to the rear but I keep it under 100. i love mercedes now and wouldnt ever get anything other than the new camaro or the zo6.

It's a great car but if you want to start taking out back pressure you need to go to a bigger turbo to compensate. If it was up to me I would put in a ko4 with upgraded turbines and go straight pipe all the way back, you would then upgrade the ecu due to the change in fuel/air mappings.
for one this is naturally car in the video is naturally aspirated.
2: a 3" upgrade TB on a 2.0t is a PROVEN gain.

Only in a large turbo car may that be true because the turbo may not spool as fast because the gases will pass right by it IF and only if the car isn't producing the volume to spin it alone negating exhaust backpressure. A car with a ko3 like the VW's stock would ALWAYS benefit from a larger exhaust

If you're building a car for that much crazy power like you say, why the eff would you use a diesel turbo. blowing smoke IMO.

great stuff! by the way your week engine, a 2.0t is tuned by engineers for the particular factory exhaust. if you start messing with your backpressure you mess with the longevity of your engine. You must tune the ecu for this big change. 9 out of 10 you probably lost power by doing this mod.

It was a 6spd AT with Tiptronic. DSG wasn't available on the V6 in North America. Too bad really, Europe got all the goodies.

I had a 1.8t with a ko4 and straight pipe back and a up solute ecu it was faster that my 2001merc clk 320. best of luck on your mutilations!
