  • slabe te obrazy

  • This performance completely neglects the subtle but definite rhythm changes from measure to measure that Feldman notates. I feel like I'm listening to an oom-pah-pah waltz. Wrong!

  • I would have loved to hear the performance sans the commentary.

  • it sounds like the piece is starts in 3/4 rhythm- very errie

  • love that out of tune sounding piano

  • This man playing and speaking, Roger Woodward, is my piano teacher at San Francisco State University! He's amazing!

  • This is way too loud! And why do I hear rain and talking? I know that Morton Feldman liked his music quiet and undisturbed by sounds from the environment. My advise listen to it in a quiet room.

  • I was really into this until the woman began talking and then translating what the other guy was saying.

  • Great Franz Kline slides, but this recording is just riddled with rhythmic inaccuracies. The piano is not even in tune.

  • Still - I _LOVE_ this version. The rain does it for me ;)

  • You are right, but the "rythmic inaccuracies" are actually in the score.

  • Actually itmediaco is correct: the rhythm is actually much MORE irregular than Woodward plays it. Just look at the score, or any other recording.

  • In this video it seems as if it rains - well it actually does not rain. It seems to be a bad copy of the concert. Altho ... I actually LIKE the "rain". Sounds pretty cool :>]

  • Well, it actually rained ... "That night it poured, and the rain on the tin roof of the ICA theatre was almost louder than the music."

  • Très bien ! Je n'ai pas entendu cette émission sur France Culture .

    Merci beaucoup !

  • that's some amazing art

  • Dark....

  • implied overtones? i think he was too conflicted to know himself. what a mind.

  • "Too conflicted to know" ? I'm not agree with you, Deseant : this music is peaceful and not conflicted...

  • i was not saying anything about the music, but i was saying he, himself, was. read "give my regards to eighth street"--a collection of essays by his own hand. he mentions this composition.

  • amazing works!

  • Anything without the French voice-over? Thanks just the same. Merci.
