"Big freeze" has been a running joke between me and an old friend for at least 20 years. It still cracks us up when one or the other throws it out there.

In this episode. Andy, is looking out the front window of the courthouse. While Barney is showing the plaster cast of the foot prints. The Mayor walks over. And, if you look close. There are three tree trunks right outside the window. As far as I remember, there are no trees on the street, outside the front of courthouse. But, if you look real close. They are not only trees. They are PALM TREES.

The thief putting shoes on the cow is based off a real life incident that occurred in Andy Griffith's hometown.

@mseales , your right that was the shortest frezze ever..but then not supriseing Barney is allways wanting to thinks the Big City way that the police do...which to me 9 times out of 10 they fail at. I've allways liked Andy's way of handling bussiness. he sees things most people over look.
