Ranjani-I just visited ur blog.. Amazing and u r a gud foodie. I tried veggie burger following ur instructional videos made easy to prepare.. wow tastes gud especially Green Chutni with cream.. out of this world... Hats off..
Honestly....I was skeptic at first......but by the end of this video, I was salivating....thats actually a really good idea!! I'm going to give it a try! Have you ever mashed up cauliflower with the taters?? Time to find out how it goes.....
hi, i live in italy and i'm an indian..my prob is that i can't make those burgers..i explain: actually maybe it's because of a difference in the potatoes but my tikki's( because the burger u're making it's like a tikki) just don't stay like that, well rounded.
Actually the potatoes don't saty together....in hindi : woh bikhar jaate hain.
@filmybaljit Hey-perhaps your potatoes and veggies have too much water in them, make sure you squeeze all the excess water out and if it's still mushy, add some breadcrumbs to soak up the excess liquid, this will also give them a nice crispy crust-hope this helps!
@filmybaljit I live in the Netherlands but you have a lot off different potatoes some are crumble some are more cooking resistance etc etc.. But I'm not sure if they have all those dif potatoes since they eat more pasta's and such
@filmybaljit you can add some bred to it it's a great binding agent you can even add conflour as Ranjani said it may be because of exes water also...try it out !!! hope it helps you!
Hi Ranjani, I enjoyed this, I used to make aubergine patties, just cut èm round, put them into milk and in flour, u can put curry in the flour, and just fry them, as well they can be used 4 burgers too, my chidren loved them in their burgers as we r veggetarian too! thnx 4 sharing, I love to make experiments, love & light to all.
thank you so much for the recipe.....quite often watching people cook on you tube, their videos can be a little dull...but i found you to be very informative and personable...i subscribed and can't wait to try out these burgers with my bf!!! Thank you!
@Nosaltypeanut this is such a funny comment-thanks though, I don't put any oil in my hair, I think its just the lighting in my kitchen that makes it look shiny:) Hope you enjoy the recipe!
im definatly gonna try this, im trying to vegg out but i always find myself running back to meat......maybe the substitution of a veggie burger will help. DUH i should have thought about this sooner
I love the idea of pudina chutney and mayo...i found that I liked it stronger in the buns and more dilute when using as a dip. Had it for lunch today, it was totally awesome.
I'm glad you showed people that being veg is more than soya, tofu and wheatgerm.
I tried this recently, after going vegetarian, and it was absolutly fantastic. It was hard finding some of the ingredients but I did find them. Although I'm not a cilantro fan, so I did use fresh parsley and it worked.
Good work ranjani ...But what u r suggesting is carbs on carbs ..Not friendly to them weight watchers ..Pretty tast though ..I usually use the same formula but use cooked beans instead of the mashed up potatoes..More complete that way atleast in my opinion..
@californiadajatt no I don't work at a restaurant...I have a regular corporate job:(

That looks pretty good. I don't like beef so this is good alternative. Would this be cheaper then buying bocca burgers which are $4-$5.
