I have read the Bible and the Qu'ran, and I can't help but think that belief in either depends on where you're born. There are also aspects of both that are outdated. So God must not care about the specifics - what matters is the underlying moral code.
The existance of a benevolent God is, to me, evidenced by the world. Such complexity did not arrive by chance (and there are too many mysteries in the physics surrounding the Big Bang for it to have been random, namely inflation and asymmetry.) However, I don't think I can know any more than that.

This video reminded me that things can be beautiful. I just spent a very long day in a cancer center. Woman in the next chair just learned she'll die soon. I get athiest and believer-have been both. Many are praying for me, but my faith has been mostly a couple doctors and a new drug. When death is coming, faith and athiesm become much closer together. I tried to be a good person today - just in case there's no God, I tried to give love, hope and help today. right here, right now. Tim

Basically if you believe the bible is true, you are worshipping an imaginary tyrant called god. If you don't think that's true then you obviously don't understand or havn't read your own bible.
The sad thing is that there is no evidence that the christian god even exists, and when christians say they have evidence they don't actually have any real evidence, and there is no evidence for "creation" no one knows exactly how the universe started, I'd trust science though instead of the bible, which has hundreds of contradictions and claims that are scientifically false.

Just listening to a small part of your video #3 made it clear that it's mammon worship. It reminds me of the "Word of Faith" Movement of "positive confession" - a belief that one can speak something into existence. Also called the "Health & Wealth Gospel," "Prosperity Gospel" & a few other names. And I hardly think Jesus "tricked" people to get them to follow Him.

The sad thing is that there is no evidence that the christian god even exists, and when christians say they have evidence they don't actually have any real evidence, and there is no evidence for "creation" no one knows exactly how the universe started, I'd trust science though instead of the bible, which has hundreds of contradictions and claims that are scientifically false.

It has hundreds of contradictions. Statements that are scientifically false. He is great - the penguin's gesture of acknowledgement at the end is almost like confirmation itself. Regardless of what anyone says to the contrary, He will prevail and be victorious. If people want to disagree, they are entitled to. But knowing Him in my life and seeing Him at work tells me all I need to know. Glad to have my passport to the Kingdom - which He provided for me.

@TheSOS The god you write about is not the God of the Bible. "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Mt 19;24, Mk 10:25, Lk 18:25. "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil..." 1 Tim 6:10. The rich young ruler was never received into the Kingdom for he was not prepared to give up everything to follow Christ. You are simply promoting "The Secret," (law of attraction) - a heretical movement w/ universal appeal.

@Passiflora101 III - PS: Personally, I am anticipating the day when we will have civilized past the need for a monetary system, for I believe strictly speaking ALL personal ownership (of real property) goes against the commandments, for it can only BEGIN with theft – and until then the only way I know to be in full obedience of the Law is in trust law – being a steward of God's property for the highest good of all. I do this by creating wealth first and then granting it into trust. Peace :)

What kind of wealth? Tangible assets? What type of trust? And the purpose of this trust is to AVOID ownership, thus probate & taxes? Very slick indeed, but doesn't creating a wealth of tangible assets (i.e., real property,) then put into a trust, a reflection of (even more) material gain - just under different terms? Yup.

As for Wattles' books, it may be fair to say that they 'trick' people into coming back into alignment with the Law by speaking to what they think they want (i.e. money), but then showing how the best way to get it is by obeying the Law...

@Passiflora101 II - about being God or 'manipulating' Him, but about aligning your thoughts, words AND actions with God through gratitude and doing HIS will. It is definitely NOT pantheistic and clearly sees God as greater than the individual (also quoting Jesus on this, Science of Being Great, p.18). Reg trust law, it seems to all depend on ones intention. Mine is not to avoid anything, but to fully live the Law and it does include giving (control of) what you 'own' up for the good of others.

@Passiflora101 LAST comment response in this medium. Short, more in PM if you want. The one I talk about wrote the books, but has nothing to do with the mansion, see wikipedia. Please check your facts. I am saying that is my current best plan and am working daily on building the needed faith. Not family, at least not for the most part. Not strawman/abusing trust law (What makes you think that?), 'funding' what seems to best serve the future of our children and life on earth.

@TheSOS Oh, I see now! I did make a mistake between Gurdon Wallace Wattles and Wallace Wattles. Such an unusual name, I would think that perhaps Gurdon is Wallace's nephew. How many Wallace Wattles can there be, you know? Oh well...I have a pretty hectic 3D at times, but will PM you later when I can. My time is somewhat limited, but I'm still interested in carrying on this conversation. =)

Now please don't take this the wrong way, but my impression is that your feeling of me being misguided is based on being misinformed. As far as I can tell, every one of your criticisms has no reason, because Wallace's teachings are in full alignment with your perspective and you only ASSUME they conflict, because you never read the entire books. i.e. they are ALL about a practical...>II

@TheSOS One way to get rich is to sell books about getting rich. A lot of people are selling Wattle's books online, as are you. Just listening to a small part of your video #3 made it clear that it's mammon worship. It reminds me of the "Word of Faith" Movement of "positive confession" - a belief that one can speak something into existence. Also called the "Health & Wealth Gospel," "Prosperity Gospel" & a few other names. And I hardly think Jesus "tricked" people to get them to follow Him.

@Passiflora101 I felt similarly when I only read the first few chapters years ago and put it aside. Later I realized that my interpretation was based on my very partial exposure to the approach and now feel quite opposite about it. Now it seems you have your clear opinion about it and want to maintain it. I still see no real disagreement and have no interest in convincing you of anything - thus it seems we have exchanged all of value...how how about we both say farewell in peace?

I LOVE this quote & once again the books are in FULL agreement with it and are an action plan to be able to say the same! Now, if you are willing to first listen to the books, I'd be happy to continue this, in public or private, but not in sms-like comments, let's not force more misunderstandings by using such limited platform.
